first put the male in a tank, then put the female in a jar(baso or unsa basta transparent better if glass) inside the tank..condition them by feeding live" ngoyo ngyo or basta live if wala jud live-- fish foods na lang"....(for 3-5 days)when the male makes a bubblenest.......slowly get the female out from the jar and put it in the tank togeher sa male...jer-jer dayon hehehheheheheh after the female release the eggs ..get the female out from the tank dayon pasagdi na lang ang male nga mo catch sa mga eggs kay iya manang ibalik sa nest iya tapokon mga 2-3 days posa dayon ang eggs..kuha-on dayon ang male if posa na kay kan-on nya niya after ana .....fry keeping dayon porblema napod sa dapna hahhahha bitaw dali ra na dali pa na sa swordtail/ guppy!

mag breed ta aron naa tay cebu bettas(originally from cebu) nga atong ma compet sa manila ug davao!

salamat mordarts for the info. makita ang mga itlog nig gawas? pila sad ka adlaw or oras una mu gawas ang itlog? thanks in advance.

suwayan nato breed. bahalag bisdak nga klase. panghatag lang nako if naay successful.hehehe will try to look for female, by the way, unsay kalahian sa baye, same lang ghapon? less color and much bigger? thanks.

Mao jud bai nindot jud unta kung mka produce ta ug atong lines... Even though they are far ahead we always catch up coz Cebuanos are always one up than the rest hehehe...

Daghan na competition Bettas sa Davao ug Manila ai hehehe... Mas lisod man pud cguro ang Bettas sa guppies ug swordtail e breed cguro bai oi hehehe... Livebearers mana cla, diretso ra gawas then mka fend dayon sa kaugaliongon unlike sa Bettas nga egg layers then nest builders pa jud. Elaborate courtship ma jud before mag habal... hehehe

Mga livebearers pasagdaan rman na nimu. Ang Bettas basta bred ka controlled jud from environment to feeding to selected lines sa pair hehehe... But hey, that is where all the fun is dba? hehehe

Yeah bai makita nimu ang itlog murag whiteheads tanawn ky daghan kaau manga tagak sa female inig human ug embrace... Ang spawning process mag depend sa fishes coz as I have said, lain2x cla ug "fishonalities"... Naay maau, niay banga... Niay mga 2 hours ra niay mu take whole day hehehe... Basta malingaw pud ka ky samot na mga 1st timers, dili khbaw unsay buhaton...

Ang bettas noh, murag manok pang sabong... Mas dako ang male then mas taas ug finnage... Then hostile kaau sa uban male... As in high blood kaau... Ang baye ky mas rounded ug lawas, mubo ug ikog then nia bihod sa tiyan...

I bet 85% of the time when a friend sees your community tank with a single Betta, the first one he'll notice is the grumpy solitary fish with the bad attitude and the oh so gorgeous flowing tail... He'll say, "unsa na isdaa? Nindot lage na cya ky taas kaau ug ikog murag g sayal..." Let the Betta flare and see his eyes buldge with excitement and he'll keep begging you to do it again... Give him a betta and he's hooked... He'll keep buying more fishes... Expand na pud ang community of Bettaholics...hehehehe

yep, i keep "violeta" in my planted tank. community tank with black neon tetra and orange tailed guppies.

Update... Red HM spawn have hatched... Dad is doing great in retreiving the fries and blowing them back in the nest... Added a night light in the tank so that the father can pick up the fries that have sunk to the bottom...
