i'm no expert either, pero most likely if crt imong tv & lcd imong PC + speedstep/cool & quiet enabled mas makatipid cguro ka gamay sa pc bro. pila diay normal consumption sa crt tv? hehe
lighting a candle.....
btaw. a new pc with power down / cool & quiet / enhanced speedstep properties is much better than ur tv wen it comes to electrical savings

Its very obvious kung ikompara nimo ang ordinary TV ug PC, mas lower power consumption sa TV. assuming they have the same screen size.
Even if 15" LCD pa ang PC versus 14" TV, pabor gihapon sa TV.
a 14" TV are most likely rated below 100W.
A PC TV contains not only the LCD monitor, it includes the Processor, Video Card, HDD, TV tuner and etc.
Gagmay ra tinuod ug power consumption ang kada Parts but kung i add up tanan, its very obvious mas dako jud ug kuha.
just consider lang daan the Power Supply unit. Example PSU rated at 450W. samotan pa jud kung generic PSU, Lugi jud.
when youre using 450w psu. its not drawing the whole 450w from power source.Originally Posted by gabs
TV... saves more energy than pc.
ya, i know. my point is dili lagi ma consume but wla ba diay time nga ma used up na tanan? naa pa man gani times nga kuwangon nga maoy kagub an sa PSU madugay. samotan pa nga Generic ang gamiton. Efficiency an issue anaOriginally Posted by AMD_infinium05
ya if the user is unaware if he's psu is kuwang ra.Originally Posted by gabs

pila ka watts diay ang typical na TV?
I'm using a C2D 2.7GHz speedstep lowering to 2.0Ghz on a 480w HEC psu.
tapus LCD na. diba mas less consupmtion ang LCD vs. CRT?
