Nasaag ko gahapon bah sa Labangon. I met someone who breed Betta. I ask him what strain iyang betta ingon siya crowntail daw. Pero I can't really tell kung Crowntail ba gyud toh, kay gagmay pa man gud and dili pa maklaro ang shape sa tails hihihihihihi

Ummm Just an hour ago my Red Halfmoon have spawned a huge clutch... Both were pros... The female even helped in collecting the eggs... I expect the father to be more responsible than the Black Orchid... As of now, I have removed the female as the male have squeezed all her eggs to the last drop...

Wasn't able to take pics coz my gf borrowed my fone hehehe...

On an unfortunate note, my Black Orchid spawn has failed... All the eggs were gone as of this morning... But, it is ok since most first timers often fail about 85% of the time...

The male was just too green... I'll try to breed them again 3 weeks from now after mucho conditioning since my female CT have recoverd 100% already and back to her feisty self... The male? Well he seems pissed and frustrated hehehehe... He'll get over it...

Yeah halfmoons are the most expensive but on a spawn mga 20-30% rman gud ma halfmoon ana nga whole 180% jud ang spread sa caudal, less than 180 are called Super Deltas...

Still pretty bummed about the Orchids...

Anyways, let's make this thread a bit more interactive pud... Post pud mo pics sa nu Bettas dri if you have some coz no matter what the fin type, they are still magnificent little jewels of a fish...

Let's discuss stuff and share some tips...

C'mon don't tell me ako ra fascinated kaau ug Bettas... If you were once a breeder or have kept a Betta... Do come back to the hobby... As they say, the more the merrier hehehe...

Or if you're still a newbie, try breeding a pair, and I bet when you get your first spawn, you're hooked!!! Do try breeding them... Even though I have spawned a lot of Bettas already, it never fails to fascinate me time and time again to see a romantic spawning... Seems like they are dancing and then embracing until they sank to the bottom of the tank... No two spawning are ever the same bcoz these fishes have soooo much personality...errrr... Fishonality... in them, unique to each one of them, from my horny yet painfully irresponsible CT(reminds me a lot about myself), to my suave and smooth HM... They just enslave you with their beauty and feistyness... To think he have the audacity to friggin' nip my hand while I was siphoning the tank showed that he's the boss in his turf no matter the size difference...hehehehe bossy little fella'...

It would be nice if others would also post about their "Splendid Warriors"...
I have kept goldfishes, an arowana, guppies, oscars... Heck, they bore the sh** out of me... goldfishes are too fat and pompous, arowanas are impossible to breed, oscars have too big cr**, and guppies are plane boring to me... Plus they don't really take that much of a space and isn't that costly to take care off... No filters, aerators and stuff... All they need are plenty of live foods (gluttonouos little pigs). a 8x6x8 display tank, probably a plant, some talisay leaves and a damsel and you're ready to go... No wonder a whole damn country is addicted to these grumpy and horny anabantid fishes (Thailand)...

BTW, I named my Red HM kane and my BO CT Undertaker hehehehe, wa man gud lingaw. Attached na pud ko sa ilaha... These fishes seems to have enslaved the hell out of me...
