its like these... am hosted in a apache server... then with my data driven site... and am using php..
with mysql database..

i want is to have a connection sad sa mysql with vb application

Then I guess skip solution number 1 and go ahead to step number 2. You do not needÂ* apache to be able to pull data from your mySQL database to your VB application. Just download that add-on and start from there.
