with a P50K-P250K budget, i'd certainly would rather go for a mac than a PC. but then again, I edit with a 8086XT processor.
as for cameras, I say use any DV cam you have. heck, i'm thinking of using my Video 8 one of these days to shoot an MTV.
murag kungfu..
"your XL2 cannot beat my VX2000"
"ha! my Video 8 will save the both of you."
"not while my VHS cam is around..."
and as vanceloma says...
"no one will ever suspect a cardboard box"
read vanceloma's post about preparing to shoot a documentary...
on doing interviews:
- learn how to interview. build a rapport with your subject, talk to them before the actual interview, make them
feel comfortable. soon enough they will tell you about their family and their secret recipe for ngohiong.
- know the people who you will interview, make a background check on who they are and what is their relevance to your subject. ask people who batman really is.
- also, do your research. during the interview, some subjects will not voluntarily speak about certain topics. lead them to the conversation, make them think you already know about it and that you just want a clarification.
