hi guys, sorry I wasn't able to reply to your post, I was away for a few days. To all who viewed my site, thanks for viewing and being an honest critic to the site. It helps to know that there is still room for improvements through your critic and comments. Every opinion counts and appreciated.

nice but slow.. if it was faster it would be better for both the photographer and the viewers.. kai if it was me a first few pages ra ako tanawon i would not look all the way unless i'm really looking for something.. in short purag ma sayang and also i don't want to wait much purag i would close the page after a few minutes if ana ka dugay ma load..

That's why I have a disclaimer on my previous post about the loading of the images. Thanks for informing me about the slow loading time. I'm still researching for optimization or images or a decent image preloading engine. But on the average, loading time of the images is 3-5 seconds, which is not that slow. Maybe it all depends also on the Internet Connection. But once the images has been seen/loaded, the next time you open the same image, it would automatically load.

nindot kaayo imo site bro. naa lang ko suggestion gamay. IMHO. mas nindot tan-awon bro if ipagawas ang imo vertical scroll bar sa square, the usual nga adto gyud sa end of right side. unya stretchable imo square depende sa kadaghan sa imo pics. sa gallery ni ako pasabot bro.

I was thinking of that too, but that's the design of the page the photographer wants. Di man cya ganahan ug whole page nga gallery, gusto cya all the images are inside the box. I made that portion stretchable, if there are too many pictures to load, it will automatically display a scroll bar, so that users can see all the images in the gallery.

mas maayo bro nga mangita ka engine nga paspas mo load ug pictures. unya butangi sad percentage kun pila na ka percent iya na download or only a straight line bar with how many percentage iya na load. after na niya e display ang pics inig ka 100% load na.

but indeed a nice site.

for now, I'm still using the lightbox library, medyo hinay jud ang loading performance sa library or basin lng sad, hinay ang hosting or hinay ang internet, depends also on those factors. I'm always on the search for alternative for lightbox library. If you can recommend some, please do. I'm also researching about the preloading script like kanang mag.load nga flash site, just like what you said naay indicator kung pila na ka percent ang na load nga images.

1. overall d site is positioned at d center right? it would look better if e-center nlang pud ang pag view sa image rather than e place sa top....

It was the photographer's wish that the images be displayed from the top, but nice suggestion and I will look in to that!

2. downside of your site is, limited ra ang scrolling in fact fixed sya.... when viewing this image http://www.iancastanares.com/media/i...laces/p021.jpg at the nature section or even some of the images sa portait, one cant close it kay di ma scroll down , unless mu next/previous view pka para lang ma close.

If you are referring to this picture, I can close it with the close button, I don't see any problem closing any of the pictures in the gallery, because you can easily close it with the close button, or pressing ESC or click outside the loading picture. If you are having problem with the navigation or if you can't see the close button, maybe your resolution is too small, the recommended resolution is 1024x768(minimum requirement) or higher (the better).

so if it wr me i wouldnt go for such structure, knowing na photo folio na sya, like sa portrait na section naa nay scroll bar kay dili na ma accomodate sa viewport....y not allow it to scroll nlang? less hassle sa viewers, less hassle sa developer...why limit urself?

Good point there, but it's the design that the photographer wants, mao man iyang gusto. I was just following his specification of the design. But thanks kaayo sa imong opinion and suggestions about the site, it will give me an idea for the next improvement of the site.

ang ako lang ma say kay murag putol lagi ang site..like what i mean ba kay murag ganahan ko nga mu-down pa gani nya dli pa siya mudown..unsa na style na??

Part na sa iyang design, murag feeling nmo putol, but it's not really putol, kay the over-all content is bounded by a white bordered box. Can you post screenshot(s) as for us to see about the putol experience? Thanks!

1. take into consideration that others are using browsers at 1024x768 but with 3 addons/toolbars on their menu
2. others don't know that they can press escape

anyway medyu light comments ra sya pero for me lang, i dont wanna deprive others from viewing d site hehehehehe, not all are that good when it comes to browsing hehehehe....
