back in the old days macs in cebu were provided usually by powertech and macsolutions.
even with the presence of mac clones (daystar, powercomputing) which were cheaper than apple macs the business was not really promising. then came along the very successful imac but it failed to save the two stores. it was a very big blow when adobe photoshop was no longer a native application of macintosh since most mac users were in publishing, pre-press, printing and advertising industry. hp flexed its muscles in the printing world putting apple printers (yeah you read it right.. APPLE printers) into downward spiral. sayang lagi, a very innovative company but unable translate that into money like they did in the 80's when they capture the bigger share of the pie. damn uncle bill! mr gates even now has own a share at apple.
now, apple got most of their revenues from ipod/itunes not from macs.

i hope mac will remain. like the jedi's in all of us, mac addicts will remain and the force will be with them.

Innovation and technology is never a question sa apple.. its the pricing and the economy diri sa pinas.. namely diri sa cebu.. mo click ba kaha na ug maayo..

It just depends on the user. If you're a amateur/professional graphics artist, you're best choice is a MAC. No doubt about it. However, if you're a moderate-hardcore/pro gamer, PC(Windows) is your choice. ^_^

not all professionals use MAC for graphics design ( both 2d and 3d ) for an amateur graphics artist MAC is NOT even a choice... grabi mo suicide dayun ka sa price sa mac ? just for what 5 to 10 applications that run a *bit* faster on MAC.. depende rasad gyud..

Let's just hope for their success, EarlZ. I'm sure Stanley would do their best together with Badong para mosucceed ilang business, right? Kami mga Mac users, nalipay lang mi kay naa na moservice sa among mga needs, in case we need one.

Bitaw, with their ipod/itunes many are switching to Apple right now. Have you heard of its integration to a mobile phone? iPhone? Pretty interesting.
