Before you guys declare your selves as professional gamers, you should have a reality check.. see those gamers with media coverage,sponsors & a team ? those people you see on the media are the real professional gamers and yes it is true that professional gaming is currently at FPS right now, MMORPG is not yet a pro gaming field.

MMORPG's require spamming kills... spam F keys, spam pots, and pray that your enemy dies first... and yes, as long as you have the best gear you'll be godly in the game. It's all about items, not skills.

FPS require intelligence... the people who cry about being killed from behind are those who don't have the brains required to process the environmental factors of the game. Yes you can die in 1-hit, but you can also kill in 1 hit. Whoever has the "skill" to outwit his enemy gets the kill.

That's why I tried airsoft--FPS can be considered to be a simulation (though there are different levels of realism depending on the kind of FPS)--chances are, if you can do a move in an FPS game, you can do it in real life, provided you are physically fit Most of the games where my team in won, was because some of my teammates were also FPS players, and we all tried to do what worked in the game, and suprisingly, it also works in real life.

Reflex, quick-thinking and cool reaction while under fire are all classified under skills and are essential to FPS games. So yes, I can't win in an airsoft game by executing a "macro" maneuver nyhahahahahaha!

RPG's are just a noob games, even a child can play this game as long as he understand it and know how to do the quest. I have an eight( years old nephew that plays WOW, and his now has a level 22 night elf hunter. FPS and RPG is the one that needs skill and not so much skill is needed with RPG.

Just a comment on my understanding based on my experience with games. In fact I played more than 700 games (Dream Cast, Play Station 2 & 3 and PC)assorted genre and only RPG that needs a little bit of skill. You just need time to level up your character to be better. The reason, its the game that I introduce to the kids.

if youre good at it but not making a living out of the game, better call yourself an "expert" player.

Sauna dream nako ang ma pro RTS gamer for Starcraft. But reality bites hehehe, no time to practice and it requires a lot of practice and talent so fan nalang kutob.

Although karon, Im still working on that dream but in another game, which is online poker.
Karon kay work then read/play/review on my poker. After extensive practice and moving up to higher levels, basin mo decide sad ko mo pro, but maybe 2-3 years from now pa hehehe

And, what is a game and what is work anyways? When you play a "game" you "work" to win diba? I mostly do construction work inside Second Life (now referred to as content creation), but constructing stuff inside this virtual world is so fun and interesting, it ceases to become work for me. So again, I ask the question, what is play and what is work to you? Because in my life (both first and second hehe) now, they are both one and the same And this is how I achieved happiness

Been hooked on Pristontale before and I even made it up to Level 62. I sold my character (fighter) and stopped playing because I feel it's going nowhere rather than continuously trying to level up, ako ra ang giilad sa duwa.

I'm back to old-fashioned Starcraft now, after about 3 years or so, because I'm trying to prepare myself for Starcraft 2.
