the phillipines is not ready to be on its own... cge lang ta ask for democracy and independence but look at wats happening to our countr now. maypa pasakop nalng sa america at least 1:1 na ang dollar hehe

i think mga educated ra nga mga tawo maka realize nga , philippines , can not stand on its own! we need to b under some 1rst power nga flag like u.s ,e.t.c..... u look at philippines now, for years we try to look independent,, but cge lang pangutang sa other countries,while our politicians sucks in the money, our country gets poorer!!!! mao ra gyapon were are international beggars!!! we are in debt up to our head!!! were better of under the u.s or other country! look at hawaii now,under u.s or hong kong what used to be under brittish flag! pa pride pride pa its gets us no where!!! then up comes 1 or 2 idealist who s educated but twisted principles , doctrenise or brain wash some people to follow him,, then take arms against our own country!!! the more there adding economic instability!!!!!! why cant people just live & work properly!! pa under t u.s oy!!

Support all you want, the US does not want the Philippines. Strategic location no longer matters. The US has bases all over and does not require the Philippines when it's bombers and carriers can reach continents away. The US does not need the Philippines to be connected to Asia, Australia or NZ.

The semi-colonial & semi-feudal state of our nation is not by choice but by design. Our country is a major source of cheap labor & raw materials to the West (specifically, the US) & most importantly the dumping ground of it's finished products & goods. For every dollar that they "invest " in our country, they take out seven dollars in profit in a calendar year. The US would do everything in it's power to maintain this equation.

2. Dumping ground for US products and goods? The Philippines is too small and too poor to dump any American products.
3. What the Philippines does have is cheap labor, but it's cheaper elsewhere.
