Hinamori Momo had just had her son six months ago, yes. But now that Ukitake Jushirou, her...well...boyfriend? Was that the way to put it? Well, it didn't matter. They loved one another. But that was besides the point. She had to gather her strength back up, and get back to her normal weight due to her lack of exercise.

The only way to do this was to practice her Shunpo. Taking a lot of her strength, in the first few weeks she could only get to one hundred steps per second. Soon, she had herself lying face down on the ground, coughing heavily like Jushirou would sometimes. He would even come out and help her stand up and she would sleep for days on end. But now she was much better, and had reached a total of two hundred and sixty-five steps. Finally, she was at a level of a seated Shinigami.

"Momo's Pink Streak!" Momo had told Jushirou one night as she made them dinner. "I'm naming it like yours! You're the Gray Streak, and I'm the Pink Streak! The colors always did look good together, didn't they?"

After she named it that, you would sometimes see pink behind her footsteps as she moved. But soon, Momo slowed down. She had come down with a cold, and it brought her back to one hundred steps. Angered, Momo stayed out late one night.

And on this night, she knew she was going to surpass her one-hundred step limit thanks to this damned cold. She did so, back up to two hundred and sixty-five, pink streaks behind her feet showing up only in the light slightly, and soon, Momo was appearing in different areas of the training area.

"Hinamori Momo!"

Momo stopped. She knew it was forbidden to be out this late, especially with the war, or whatever it was called, but still! She froze as she turned around, shocked by the harsh glare she was being given.

"Soi Fong-taichou!" Momo squeaked, turning pale.[br]Posted on: April 02, 2008, 10:03:12 PM_________________________________________________S oi Fong was running down the path towards the training ground for some more practice with her squad. She have herd about the events that have been taken place in soul society and the new relationship of Ukitake and Momo. Also the new arrancar child, it didn’t bother Soi Fong that much if the child was to be raised right.


She didn’t use Shunpo in order to get there as she was already fast enough without using that technique. Since she did train with the legendary goddess of flash for most of her life and it had shown well on Soi Fong. As she jumps from the ground and on to the roof top before jumping again. She was surely to reach her location with time to spear. She hard her captain cloak blowing with the wind as she soon lands into the gate of the training grounds.


“Alright I’m here now, so let’s get started.” She said softly as she opens the door to the training ground. “Alright, anyone here ready for some personal training from yours truly”


There were some people there as the taichou spoke out. Some of them were slightly nerves to not let down Soi Fong. But at the same time they wanted to do battle with some of her level in hand to hand combat and other types of fighting.

Soi Fong watched the group of people coming at her as she was to prepare to strike them down with ease. As they came at her one by one until they were all knocked out on the ground. And Soi Fong was on top before seeing Momo appearing on their area.

"Hinamori Momo!"

Soi Fong looked at Momo with her glare as she wonders what she was up to on a night like this. She should be resting some more before moving around the place.


“What brings you to this place on a night like this?”

Ken had been sitting in the back of the training area when captain Soi Fon had entered the area. He laughed out loud as the other fools sitting in the field rose and foolishly attacked the captain class shinigami, shaking his head as they were virtually destroyed by the captain. He smiled. (A true master of the martial arts. I'm glad to be serving under her. I'll definately be able to learn a lot.) He stretched as the captain stood at the pile of near unconcious shinigami, adressing lieutenant Momo. Slowly he rose to his feet, checking the condition of his zanpakuto, which he nearly always kept released. He leaned against the wall now, watching the officer's converse. He smiled. It wasn't every day you got a chance to train against a captain, much less one that specialized in your kind of fighting. Patiently, he waited, hoping that the officers would finish conversing so that he could take a crack at his captain. The spirit of his zanpakuto stood next to him, watching the display as well. The man looked worried, an expression he nearly never showed. Are you sure about his Ken? After all she is a captain. You could get really hurt if you push it too far. He mumbled to his spirit. Momo bit her bottom lip as she bowed her head in total respect for the woman. There were only two women as taichous out of the Gotei 13, and she respected Soi Fong as much as she respected Unohana. Only Soi Fong was deadlier, and she had a power Momo envied, yet knew she could never achieve - bravery.

"I'm sorry, Soi Fong - taichou..." Momo murmured, turning a light pink. "Jushirou and I have been studying Shunpo, and I am trying to regain my average stepping rate. I lost mine due to a recent cold..."

Such a weakling I am! Momo thought with embarrassment. I lost my powers due to a cold. Gah! Momo, you are such a baka!

"If I must, I will go home and allow you all to train. I just want to get back into the rankings, at least with my skills. I don't think I'll be a Shinigami much longer due to my son..." Momo murmured, a hand raised to her lips in nervousness. She was a meek little thing, Hinamori Momo. Always quiet and calm. She was a taicho and a member of a noble family. So she got used to the countless bowing but not as much as Kukuchi Byakuya. Soi Fong moves her zanpakuto back a bit as it was out of place and could get in the way of her movement as she listens on to Momo.


“ I see, so the rumors are turn. You and Ukitake are together. And you lost your stepping rate to a cold. Well that is understandable since you did give birth and that can weaken a woman deeply.”



She reminds me so much of myself in the past. Soi had her finger on her chin as she looks at Momo. And then making her decision.

“No you can stay. In fact, you maybe lucky after all, if you do choose to be a shinigami still. Well right now I can help you with your training if you want to. I’m a master of shunpo and it comes to second nature to me.” Soi said with a smile on her face as she placed her hand on Momo’s shoulder. He quickly bowed in respect. "Greetings Soi Fon-taichou, it is good to make your accquaintance. My name is Ken. Masurao Ken. I beleive I am a new addition to your squad." He bowed again. Hidden from normal vision, Ken was prepping for combat. He set his mind, focusing only on the captain before him until everything else faded away. His pupils dialated, allowing him to take in more light, and thus react more quickly. His heartbeat increased, sending blood to his muscles in preparation. The sapphire on the shoulders of his gauntlets glowed faintly, invisibly beginning to draw energy from his arms. He knew that at that very moment, adrenaline was also rushing to his muscles, which were tightening only the slightest bit in preparation for the near at hand confrontation. So, even as he stood there, calmly, back against the wall, he was prepared to attack and to counter should he be attacked.

Wivot had been sitting cross legged about twenty feet from where Momo was presently, he could hear what they were saying but he ignore most of it as he found it rude to listen in on others converstations when he was not asked to be a part of it. He was sitting with the hilt of his zanpakuto on his shoulder and the but of the case on the ground. He rolled his neck lightly from left to right loosening up his joints as he was starting to get a cramp in his right shoulder from the way he was sitting, though stupidly enough he would always sit like this for long periods of time, for some reason he found it comforting to sit this way though he could not explain why. He stood up slowly using his right hand to lift up his zanpakuto to put back on his back, the red sash running across his rough hands, the soft fabric felt pleasant against his hands that normally did not touch such soft things. He tossed the sash over his right shoulder, the sash now sat from his right shoulder down to just above his left hip.

He now stood more or less straight up, though out of habit his weight was mostly on his right foot. He looked over to Ken, his gaze not really meaning anything more of a scanning of what was around and who was there. His head slowly moved from Ken to Momo and then to Soi Fon. He knew of her but had never been formally introduced, he had great respect for her as a Taicho and for her speed. He had always wished to meet her and actually talk to her about learning from her on how he can be faster than he currently was, though he was from the 10th division and she was from the 2nd so he did not really know if she would be willing to do so.

He let out a quiet sigh and looked back to Ken as he began to speak, his attention was more directed at Soi Fon. He gave a slow and respectful bow to Soi Fon but remained at a distance as to give them enough space to speak in private if they choose to do so. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of actually having a conversation with another woman in the Gotei 13. It was really hard nowadays, since most were men, and she was always with her son and Jushirou.

"Yes, I know. I try to stay healthy with herbs and such, but Unohana-taichou told me to not take them too often, since I am a mother and still have the chance of having more children," Momo murmured, turning pink. "But that might not happen. We're happy with Tokutaru. Anyways, I see you are having squad practice. I really shouldn't get in the way, Soi Fong-taichou!"

Momo's eyes widened at the thought of being taught by Soi Fong to use her Shunpo properly. She bowed her head in thanks, smiling happily.

"That would be wonderful! I would really enjoy that!" Well Retsu-chan does knows best since she is the forth division taicho. And she was right about the chances of having more than one child. And with someone like Ukitake, that was a possibility. Soi Fong then saw her smiled even bigger that the fact that she would teach her. After all, though she is no longer in the 5th division, she was still a shinigami and all of them need to get stronger for the battles in the future.

“I see, well that sort a makes sense. But moving on, I’m going to teach you some shunpo moves that are faster than regular shunpo. Like how my own sensai did so to me.”

She then turns to Wivot who was looking at the two of them for the moment. She wonders where these people were coming from. And how should she deal with it. She placed her hands in a fold as she stares at the tenth division member. She wanted to hear his name before making her decision. Since Hitsugaya should be the one that should teach him how to fight.

“Hey you, what is your name and division and why are you here.”

Soi Fong then turned back to Ken who introduced himself to her. She then listen on some more as she was glad that one of these people that kept showing up was actually from her squad. She would get to him as well as the others in her squad. Since this was still a good enough night for some training. She placed her hand on her zanpakuto before speaking out to Ken.

"My name is Wivot Hiroko from the 5th seat of the 10th division ma'm," his words were soft spoken and quiet straight to the point. As he finished he bowed gently to her and looked over to Ken, his face not showing much emotion beside the fact that he was examining his surroundings and devising a plan of attack or escape depending on the situation.

Looking around him he stopped for a second and took a deep breath in, "Excuse me for butting into your time, I have just admire your speed and have wanted to learn from you since I first heard your name in the academy."
