Also, soldiers who are killed in war are not considered "murder" victims. Show some respect.
Our soldiers have been murdered by our government!! Bush Cheney and Rumsfield. What has that got to do with showing respect. I respect our Military. They were sent to illegaly invade a country that was of no threat to us and had nothing to do with 9/11. They were sent there purely for business purposes, ill prepared, ill equiped for the job in hand, that is murder by our own government.

Of course war is tragic, especially when it is fought for profit and no other reason!!!

What has shaking someones hand got to do with running the country? I'm talking about his rantings

You have heard McCains ramblings about keeping the military in Iraq so more get murdered while the oil companies profit

His ramblings about how our economy is OK?

If bush had kept his eyes on the economy here instead of wasting money abroad, things may not have gotten so bad. Haliburton, Bechtel all made obscene loads of money while our soldiers dided around them and Bush did not care

I'm for Republican.. So what if they still want war in Iraq? It's better than to legalize abortion which the Democrats insist on.. I think most pinoys don't know it, so which side are you on now? Abortion or war against terror?

the discussion is getting out of hand...i was just reading and did not want to add my comments as the posts were getting off topic (the thread is about the possibility of either Obama or Clinton as the next US President) ...but i could not let the last post by caspey just go by...

@caspey...legalizing abortion is not just about "killing" innocent babies etc etc...whether it is legalized or not babies get aborted. It is about providing laws to regulate this action ...and to allow concerned parties to exercise Freedom of Choice. While your so called war against terror....to quote freeheeler is sooo tragic when we know it is fought for profit and the advancement of the agenda of the few.

Sorry for the OT.. I didn't know it about the democratic race..heheh..

Anyway, I think every action taken by any politician is backed with their personal agenda.. Whether it's for profiting in war equipments or taking over the oil industry.. We just can't shake the fact that most powerful people want to be in control..

To keep this on topic. I want Obama to win.

In reply to your question. Abortion is a womans choice. Not gods and certainly not a man's choice!!!

Please keep abortion out of this. It's an issue where people are either for or against it and nothing is going to change anyone's mind.

Bush's biggest failure in my opinion was his inability to be a leader and take the reigns of his administration instead of letting Rumsfeld, Bremer and a few other top administration officials do what needed to be done. Sadamn needed to be taken out of power, I supported the war, but not how it was carried through. A lot of this Iraqi mess could have been avoided if the correct decisions were made early on. There is no end in sight to this war because the administration failed so miserably in carrying out a plan for post-war Iraq and I doubt McCain who insists on staying will change the situation. I don't support a complete pullout either. The US has an obligation to help the Iraqi people, but not do what needs to be done by them. How that would be done, to leave, but yet stay ... I don't know. That is why I don't work for the government to draw out plans for occupation. What I do support however is not letting billions and billions of our tax dollars go to a conflict that we are not winning and supported by an administration who has no plan on winning the war, to companies who are "rebuilding" Iraq and making a killing, and to support US oil interests when experts know that the real solution is technology for alternative energy resources. We can't stay in Iraq and say "Lets try this, it will help". Iraqis need to be treated as people, not an government experiment on foreign occupation. We will soon be nearing 2 trillion dollars in direct and indirect expenditure on the Iraqi war, there has to be a better way.

it is a voluntary action that they signed up for the military. so to say that they have been "murdered" by the government is far-fetched. i show RESPECT to the soldiers too since they sacrifice their lives for the nation. but they KNEW the dangers and i'm sure they were aware of that before they enlisted.

i agree on some points... i just find it IRONIC how Iraq was branded as a country possessing WMD when there was no sufficient evidence to support their "findings". certainly, the administration failed BIG TIME.

OT: i read a news in CNN yesterday about this lady who was making $70,000/yr and is now on FOOD BANK. she got laid off from her job and was living on unemployment checks all the while pulling out all her savings just to get by. she's got 3 kids. one of the most common example of middle-class americans affected by the weakening of the US economy.

i am not in FAVOR of a sudden pull-out in IRAQ either. when John McCain becomes president, this IRAQ war would be prolonged for another 5-10-20-30 years.

We have heard a lot of campaign promises from the candidates. But, there will be no immediate pullout of troops from Iraq, regardless of who is elected president. It will take time and careful planning. If you desire total failure, then go with an oversimplified reaction such as freeheeler's. He obviously has strong feelings about the Bush administration, the economy and the war. Personally, I'm thankful that cooler heads than his will prevail when a strategic plan for removal is drafted. Whether it be a Republican or a Democrat at the helm, the US government must proceed with caution at this juncture. I don't envy any of the candidates. He/she will face monumental challenges, beginning on day one. Personally, I'm not sure that either Obama or Clinton are ready to tackle the tasks at hand. I guess we'll have to wait and see.. but WHINING about what the Bush administration has done is like dwelling in the past.. What about the future? Are either Barack or Hillary the answer?

Yes I do, I've had to live under every one of his failed policies since he came to power and the sooner they all get tried for war crimes the better!!

Just like the people who let Haliburton and KBR go to Iraq

If you are not ashamed of your Govt after watching this

We have had 6 years and no one has come up with any policy to do anything correctly, it's been one mess after another. We need to pull out and a peace keeping force put in. I have friends, both British and American out there in Iraq and Afghanistan. I fully support them but they don't know what they are fighting for either!!! If this was a genuine war, like WWI and WWII when we were fighting the evils of facism then I could undertand it. But this is not the case. Saddam was not a threat to us, he had nothing to do with 9/11, he had no weapons of mass destruction. He had no love for OBL. Women under Saddam had freedom to be in Government, free to work as teachers, now they have nothing thanks to GWB!!

It's not the past, it's right now. A trillion dolars spent so far on this war and for what? We have created another terroist nation where there was none before. That's my taxpayers money down the drain and everyone elses. The worst thing that can happen is for McCain to get into power and we go through the same mess for the next 8 years with Iran as his next target!!

What about the future? Are either Barack or Hillary the answer?
    It could'nt get any worse
