the best book store for me, unfortunately, is not in Cebu. it's in Manila - Fully Booked. The larger branch is in Serenda, The Fort. It has 5 floors. one floor has a Starbucks corner. Orgasmic.

I like Cagnaan. Their people are quite knowledgeable of their stock, even of those in their other branches. I usually buy my photography booksa there. Very cheap considering they are in full color and glossy.

Default Any book clubs and book shops around Cebu?

Are there any book clubs around Cebu? Where and how do I find them? How do I become a member? How many books can I rent for how much? I'm a bookworm who digs fantasy and sci-fi.

[color=navy]If you really need to read classical literature such as The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes(published in 1892), these are already available in the public domain. Here are some links for you to enjoy for free.

    A Study in Scarlet

    The Sign of Four

    The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Of course there's nothing like reading a real book; I'm sure that National Bookstore will just need to restock their supply of classical literature regarding Sherlock Holmes. Why don't you also try Cagnaan Bookstore. I remember that they also stock classical literature.

if you guys are looking to share books, try www.bookmooch.com. it's a site that allows you to get books for free, provided you maintain a ratio and send out a couple of books as well. there are lots of users from the philippines. you should try it; i've already gotten like 7 books for free =)
