mediocre shredding?

"wannabes" no offense sa mga cheesy players huh? im not descriminating their music.. i admit, i love shred, i love to shred.. kaso there are lots na pareho lang ang tunog ni this, that, and him..kaya mediocre kasi stereotype, hype.. one of the things why i shred in my room..

not just that..
lets get back to the hey days of hair metal and its guitar players..
lets not focus on american shred kay lahi man silag tunog kesa european shred..
most probably bands from europe or should i say guitar players from metal bands
of europe have the same influences. per se, same playing style, neo classical runs.
IMHO, ive noticed that almost 97% of the guitar players sound the same, tone-wise.
the just complicate their runs sa scales nila..

id give credit to jazz fusion shredders and from other genres rather that rock.. not just american but all races.. no offense sa rock.

pero, gaya ng sinabi ko kanina. i think greggy was talking about the "tone" of most shred guitar players out there. bryan do have a point that it depends sa players gamit. pero, the "ideal dilema" of shred is to not sound just like their neoclassical guitar shred heroes, but the truth is they are.

kung tubbiest sound, murag mubaho man jud xa, and it aint for shred.. pare-pareho ta gina aim na sound bro.. as much as posible is e scope nako ang tone knob sa strat to 0 para tubby kaau paminawon..

thanks..tonebone trimode is a wonderful tone animal.. =) but I dont see why it can't be used for shredding although most shredders prefer the hot-british for that =p hehe trimode has a very american-y rock tone, IMO.

from my understanding, I know metal guitar doesn't favor mids, or maybe they don't use a lot of it.. however i think there's what they call the mid-scoop where naay gamay nga mid freq nga gi raise for a nasal-y sound. well, i don't shred and i may be wrong.. i'm no expert.

anyway, ug hubog naka musaka sa stage it won't matter any longer..hahaha basta mu tingog lang lahus na..hehe

Ah so mao diay pasabot sa neo classical, well ang ila runs ug phrases ang maka "the same nila" but anyway metal which im not isnt always mid scoop, the EMG pickup is mid-boost

mao jud.. sa mga classical runs man gud gihapon sila naga base.. pero, ilaha manag artistry, ang its sounds cool din naman eh.. and enjoy ako sa mga shred ng europe, maka lingaw jud.. kuyaw jud sila sa ilahang practice ana bah, strict jud na.. hehehe!

Sa una EMG's, ni palit man ko daghan LP sa musoland sa una ako g pang upgrade daun sell sa ebay, my last LP ako g baligya kato febuary, or march 1st week, ma bored man ko basta walay trem, so ako EMG's run 85 ug 81 wala naka install napud

Karun ga paf-pro's ko which scooped ang mids, thats why g-raise nako ako mids sa amp but not to much na murag na annoying ang gawas thats why ga gamit ko ug BBE to boost for solos',pero if gamita ka ug rectifier(mesa) or tube amp balanced ang gawas sa paf-pro, i got my EMGS from a friend in arizona, www.azguitarparts.com, sya ako palitan floyd-licensed trems ug parts, dha pud ako EMG g palit

i dont know much about shadows fall, ganahan ko metal pero mostly sagul2x ako ganahan,Daita, Gurthie Govan, Claudio Cordero, Mathias IA, Maco Sfolgi, Javier Bassino, Art Rodriguez sa few ako listening.

Tone is much more on pickups and amp na, well tonewoods naa pud ma contribute in mostly feel and fatness sa sound, to prove this i have Jem Copies with bodies made of soft maple(not soft na dali ma dent)soft kai gaan, and some where basswood while the real one i have is mahogany. in sound the soft maple had more brightness than the mahogany jem which gave it a telecaster brightness both have dimarzio evos' same setup, the basswood body was in between.

In my personal choice of great top finishes i prefer PRS and J.Custom Ibanez nice kau ila top finishes fine selected woods,

heheeheh! there is something sa active, maybe the hum cancelling.. but i love those features though.. been a passive pup lover for years pero, bago lang ko sa world of active pups so, murag nalingaw ko.. hehehee!

havent had a guitar built for the battle grounds.. been a strat player since day one.. kay gusto lagi ko mag rock, i bought those cheap washburns that sells around 10k.. ok iyang built, i changed the pups though.. yea, like you said.. most probably the tone comes sa pups and amps..

but now, im very much happy sa 54 ri ko na fender strat..
