bro, all u need to do is increase the mids of your geetar. U can go 2 possible ways with ur setup : you can directly increase the mids of your eq ala inverted v and just compensate the sound with your metal zone, or you might want to go semi flat with your eq and boost the mids all the way up with your mt-2. in your mt-2, ur mid freq should be all the way down, while u go way up with the mid selector. I know a couple of geetar players from the more prominent bands use this setting.
Well, before you go for that, it matters really the geetar, pup as well as amp u are using so u shud be familiar with ur tone and try to replicate it depending on ur amp. this is esp. true when u have gigs, since most of us don't have the luxury of bringing our own big amps on gigs.hehehe
a noise suppressor is quite a great help too...i use it as a booster for my sound.it's particularly helpful when you are doing the "chugga chugga", but not so much for leads i think. I prefer to keep it off since i like the sound of pick scrapes and the little nuances that comes with playing leads. The gives the "feel" and "vibe" of a player - kunuhay ba.lolz
or better yet, i have a better solution for you...you can get rid of the extra pedals if u mod ur mt-2,just search for keeley mods on the web. If you have a friend who knows how to read electronic diagrams, then you can do it yourself. better yet, you can check out sa philmusic.com for peeps who do mods on all kinds of gadgets for a minimal fee. the more prominent modders are bamf and ricabb777,u can never go wrong with these guys. They make your stock pedals sound so much better.
whichever path u choose bro, have the best of luck.
