Recently finished Special Topics in Calamity Physics. Named one of the 10 best books of 2006 by the New York Times Book Review. It's definitely something.. Very original with shades of Nabokov and lots of pop culture references. Absolutely worth the read.

Read sylvia plath, jd salinger, kurt vonnegut, margaret atwood, jack kerouac, allen ginsberg... if you like to read bestsellers, literary-wise i recommend stephen king. im no fan. but i'm smart enough to discern that his prowess includes, but are not limited to a thorough knowledge and concise presentation of horror and churning out stunning prose. he sure can describe.

Mario Puzo's The Godfather.

one big battering ram of a book. heavy and blunt, and the words flow so naturally that even a non reader of novels will be hooked.

definitely worth a try. makes you think about WHO really holds the strings in society.

i still have the 1969 edition. lol.

did u know that Puzo never liked the idea of writing the godfather? he wrote the book so he could bring home some moola to finance his real endeavors. real endeavors dont sell us much.

by the by, i love the godfather. book and trilogy. and i've got reading materials on non-ficional wise guys, paisan.

the witch of portobello by paulo coelho...i like the writing style, its like a fictional biography of a protagonist told by people who knows her and some who don't. pc is really into the divine goddess thing. really good reading if u are a pc fan.

i bought love in the time of cholera pero wala man kaayo ko ganahi. i go for plot man gud hehe pero maayo jud hinuon ug sinuwatan si marquez, very descriptive =) thumbs-up jud nuon ko sa The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini-- best story i've read in a long time!
