sa holy week, not necessarily nga sa pagkaon lng magpuasa

fasting is para sa tanan activities...

like for example, almost everyday ka moadto mall and u decided to fast, so u stop going to the mall for days or after the holy week

it's like letting go of the mundane things you embraced dearly...

Kinsay gaingon bawal! Pwedi ra oi! ... On the contrary, Paul wrote about soon to rise presbyters forbidding certain foods and eventually forbidding marriage. (1 Tim. 4: 1 - 4 ) ... Not sure what he meant, sa ma igo lang.

Fasting or foregoing the things that we normally can be done any day, or everyday of our lives ... Not just in special days. And it should be done out of love for God. Not because we want to earn merits.

Bahala mo, basta mag pork BBQ ko ugma!

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

    - Collosians 2: 16 - 17

Its all about the practice of OBEDIENCE and PENETENCE . Its all man made , GOD did say it nor asked for it . When we practice OBEDIENCE and PENETENCE , it will make us better CHRISTIANS SPRITIUALLY.
