Well, I think you already have your full list of busts in here, i.e. the Kwames, Darkos, Olowokandis and Skitas of the NBA. But what about the new breed? From 2004-2007, the possibly busts of the future:
2004
Shaun Livingston (picked 4th by LA Clippers) - I would not want to call this a bust (a possible bust maybe) but the "bust"-ed leg is the greatest facade in his NBA career. Right now, the Clippers are thinking of just letting him walk but hopefully, that injury will heal soon. If not, maybe the Phoenix Suns medical crew can revive his career.
picks after Livingston: Luol Deng (7th), Andre Iguodala (9th), Al Jefferson (15th), Josh Smith (17th). Kevin Martin (26th)
Uban busts na di na kaayo active karon: Rafael Araujo (8th), Luke Jackson (10th)
2005 - IMO, this draft involved only the top 5 players and lots of role players for solid teams.
Sean May (picked 13th by Charlotte) - Again, injury has taken its tool on May and the total games played of only 58 in 2005-2007 would indicate a rather disappointing career. Sayang lang sad jud kaayo si May kung tag-20 games ra iya maduwa per season.
picks after May: Danny Granger (17th), Nate Robinson (21st), Jason Maxiell (28th), David Lee (30th)
Ang maypagka-bust:
Gerald Green (18th) > Won and defended his Slam Dunk title then nawala na parang bula. Actually, daghan nag-ingon na grabeh daw ang potential ni Green, some even considered him a top-10 player but since he got traded to Minny then to Houston, nawala na siya. Currently, he's working out with former NBA head coach John Lucas.
Overall, Green (along with Charlie Villanueva) is one of those young players with tons of potential but also lackluster mental intensity.
2006
Shelden Williams (picked 5th by Atlanta) - former Hawks GM Billy Knight dreamt of Shelden as a defensive monster down the middle for the Hawks since he's been good defensively in college with Duke. Unfortunately, he didn't fit the Hawks system and got left out and drastically reduced his trade value. Then got traded to Sacto (along with expiring contracts) for Mike Bibby.
I'd consider him a bust, IMO.
picks after Shelden: Brandon Roy (6th), Rudy Gay (8th), Rajon Rondo (21st)
other potential busts: Patrick O'Bryant (9th), Saer Sene (10th), JJ Redick (11th)
2007 - I know it's too early pero naa na jud uban na murag obvious kaayo para nako na bust.
Yi Jianlian (picked 6th by Milwaukee) - most scouts were impressed by Yi's court ability (in China and YouTube) but the na-impress jud kay ang Milwaukee. They picked Jianlian for SF and to boost marketability for the Bucks. Yi has played solid minutes for the Bucks but has struggled padung na human sa season because of injuries.
I know it's his first year but I'm having that heebeegeebees that he'll join the Bust line-up.
Brandan Wright (picked 8th by Charlotte then traded to Golden State) - obviously, Warriors head coach Don Nelson's system has not honed Brandan's on court ability. He only played a total of 9.9 minutes per game but had his bright moments when he gets that limited PTs.
picked after Yi: Thaddeus Young (12th), Al Thornton (14th), Rodney Stuckey (15th),
other potential busts: Joaquim Noah (9th), Acie Law IV (11th)
Note: The 2006 and 2007 pool is a too early to tell kung kinsa jud ang bust pero, para nako naa na jud potential ang uban na way ayo.
kasagaran man gud sa top picks kay gikan sa champion team sa NCAA like Sean May, Joakim Noah.. daghan kaau ug exposure ba weeks before the draft.. hsta ko i really thought mo-dominate si Sean May ug Joakim Noah sa ilang rookie season pina Al Horford ba..
these past years ubay2x jud ang Bust drafts oie.. mga sikat nga names pag rookie, pero karon wa-il na..
1984 Draft 2nd overall Sam Bowie - Portland --- over Michael Jordan (3rd) Charles Barkley (5th), John Stockton (16th)usatoday
Sam Bowie diay name atong no.2...hehe murag Hakeem ang no.1 ani nga batch..
