It seems befitting to post a good survey on why Jesus came to die, as the whole Christendom observes the Holy Week. This was done by a noted author (among Evangelicals) John Piper in his little book bearing the same Title. I copied some of the Scripture verses that he used in order to expound each reason. I would advise anyone who will painstakingly go through these passages (50 Reasons + the corresponding verses might be overwhelming) to read the entire chapter (or even the entire book from the Scriptures) as to where those verses were taken, in order to establish a context. If in any case you want to know more then maybe you can look for John Piper's book at the National Bookstore, OMF Literature or any other book shops.
