It's just one of those nights for the Spurs. Manu Ginobili finished with 32 off the bench but didn't get much support from the others. They have won 11 straight and now, they have lost 4 straight. The defending champs are inconsistent. If this continues, winning it again looks too vague for the Spurs.
wa pa gyud si Brent Barry ato. it just shows how tough San Antonio is.. plus... Duncan is not playing ball.. 4 out of 8 FG is not his game. He don't feel like scoring.Originally Posted by footlose

Noting the balance of the Western Conference, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said before the game: “We’re two game out of first and we’re two games out of eighth.” With the conference so close, he predicted that home-court advantage would not be as big a factor in the playoffs. “The first seed could be the eighth and the eighth seed is as good as the first and that’s no exaggeration,” he said. “None of us is better than the other. So the seeds are really irrelevant this season more than any other time.”
MOST OF THE PROBLEM IS OFFENSE.
My thoughts:
1. Mike Finley has lost it all at once. He looks old. He is so bad on offensive jump shots that no other team bothers to defend him. They just play 2 on 1 against Duncan instead.
2. Mike Finley's struggles have forced Manu to play more time as the ball-handler dsitributor and not the finisher.
3. With Manu and Tony playing the point, they tend to try and play 1 on 5 offense.
4. Duncan goes through periods of never touching the ball on offense thanks to #1-3.
I think POP has no choice but to bury Finley on the depth chart and Play Brent Barry / Manu Ginobli as the rotation the rest of the way.....until/IF he finds his shot....
Spurs win vs the Bulls 102-80. Haaay salamat nidaog na jud.
“We had a good winning streak and then we had a tough period,” Parker said. “It happens, that’s basketball. We’ve been winning for a long time. Sometimes you can’t win every game.”
Houston is having that story too. After winning 22 straight games they were blown out in the last two and much worse they never made it to 80 points in either games.
What's important is to make it to the playoffs and at least have a homecourt advantage. The West is so tight, everybody needs all the advantage they can get. San Antonio is now ranked 6th in the West.
though the Spurs won yesterday against the Kings, still Finley isn't getting his shots. Bowen and Udoka shoots better than him. this will give some headache for the Spurs when play-off comes. getting old na jud ni si Finley. we need Brent Barry on the floor (another old man).
