Default NASAAN KA MAN by Cholo Laurel

Cholo Laurel's "Nasaan Ka Man" has talents.

The cinematography of Charlie Peralta has all the nuance of the old, traditional Romy Vitug. Marya Ignacio's editing was precise in its cuts, pacing and overall storytelling.

Indeed, the theme song by Bautista was annoyingly bad. Acting was syrupy but not bad.

And the story by Ricky Lee and Laurel brings us to a fresher way of untangling certain complications.

OT --- after this post, I will be off somewhere else and will be back in 2 or 3 weeks.

    galing

galing.jericho rosales is terrific. i dont know why but it vaguely reminds me of wuthering heights--unloved orphan, brutish treatment from favorite son, foundling and loved daughter falling in love, and the hope of meeting again in heaven, aside from the more obvious similarities to recent hollywood movies.watch it!i don't customarily watch filipino films but this is as good as it gets.
you know how issues of favoritism and being overly family-centered exist in many filipino families? see them played out in this film
