No Dwyane Wade and no Shawn Marion, the Miami Heat lost their 8th straight game and are still winless for the month of March. The Heat started the month of January with a 0-11 card and February with 0-9. With the loss against the Mavericks, the Heat fell to 6-28 at home for the season and must win at least 5 of their last 7 home games to tie their worst home record in franchise history set in the 1989-90 season, the team's second year in the league.
The Heat are officially out of the playoffs race in the East and became the fifth team overall to be eliminated joining Western Conference teams Minnesota, Memphis, Seattle, and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Just a bonus for Miami for next season: With Wade expected to be back in full shape, Marion getting used to the system a lot more, and a hopeful lottery pick, the Heat can become Eastern Conference powers once again. Who knows, they'll take the path Boston has taken this season after being the doormats last season.
