It's NOT crab mentality.

It's knowing Quality from what not.

It's knowing that there are better Filipinas worthy of the Miss World crown.

It's knowing what we want and what not.

How could it be crab mentality?

Nobody is trying to take away her crown. If she answered the question better, do you think we'll discuss it as much as we're doing now?

Almost everybody agrees that she has the face and the body.

It was her answer that brought it down for it. She may have won that pageant but I refuse to accept that it's ok to give answers like that.

DO WE REALLY KNOW HER? who are we to judge she's not worthy?...opportunities for this pageant are available every year! yes, many could be better, but the question is, did they apply? Quality? on who's standards? what we want? it's not what we want but what the organizers and judges want...the pageant is not based on "public opinion" criteria u know...but the "organizer's" criteria.

I insist it is our CRAB MENTALITY at work here. if u don't wanna agree, fine.

We all expect such first reactions like these if we encounter bloopers such as the prestigious Bb Pilipinas pageant...Wild laughs, Boos, Thumbs downs, Ridicule...that's just OK...that's human nature as we speak.

but to the point of "JUDGING" her as a NO-BRAINER and VERY VERY NAKAKAHIYA, TRAGIC, DISASTROUS, etc...

honestly, i don't quite agree with that in the end. After the LOL's and ridicule, we should become sober enough to change our negative perspectives towards her. we should understand her plight and instead not push her down more to the brink of total humiliation...why do u think we continuously post insulting words about her up to this day? after all, it's just a beauty pageant geared for charity, plus the prestige...and is it really a big deal to us Filipinos?

of course, we don't accept Q&A answers like that in any way....even for a barangay level...my only best guess is that Janina wasn't well-educated on the English language that is why i suppose she didn't clearly understand the question at the Q&A. Coupled with stage-fright and her ego & pride in trying-hard-to-speak English, it made matters worse. MY POINT is, it wasn't her own fault totally.

Janina came from a poor pamily (she also came from the taff ten)...maybe she just have no opportunity to enrol in expensive schools where English is shoved down the throat even before one says, "Magandang umaga ho"...

In just less than a year, she will be representing the Phils hopefully to grab the Miss World title. What are Bb Pilipinas & Miss World really? These Charitable Institutions are not bent on getting prestige or crown to conquer a United Nations position. These are endeavors for CHARITY. A noble cause.

Sorry guys, but ahehe...hmmmm. hihi, sorry guys...dey, dey was....but i suggest that we just CUT THE CRAB & just support her for charity's sake this time around, and not just for our country's prestige. If people still wanna "crab" her, she could represent SPRATLYs island nlng kha...

Quality by my standards

I don't know her but by joining a very public competition, she's setting herself up for scrutiny. That's what you get if you want to be popular. What's the purpose of joining a pageant? Whether it be for a selfish or a grander, more noble reason like representing the country, one must be careful because it's a huge responsibility.

I don't personalilty want to be represented by someone who gives a crappy answer.

She's not worthy because of her answer. I'm a Filipina and she'll represent me and I would want the people and the whole world to see and know that Filipinas have brains too. (and not prostitutes, damn!)

Yes the organizers have chosen, giddyboy and I'm not shouting at them to give the crown to another. She's the one they picked, I don't have to like it.

Why are you so loose on calling people names? I think you're the one who's judging people. Saying the others are practicing crab mentality because they didn't like the winner?

Saying that 'you insist' is very Arrogant. You can't shove your own opinion up other people's ass.

mao siguro ni rason ni Janina nga wala jud siya patuga tuga ug apil apil aning mga beauty contest sa una kay tungod sa iyang stage fright. mahibong man gud ta nganong first time pa ni niya nga nindot man jud kaayo ni siya, sakto sa height, sakto ug timbang, sakto ug lawas unya hamis ug kutis pero mao pa jud ni iyang pirmirong apil ani nga contest. wala jud siguro ni siyay confidence mo apil ug ingon ani unya napugos lang siguro ni kay gigal-gal ug bayot.

nahitabo na jud ang gikahadlokan ni Janina sa una pa, maong sige siyag likay likay ug apil aning mga beauty contest, nga ma-uwawan siya sa stage. dako siguro ni siyag pagmahay ron kay ang iyang "most embarrasing moment" kay naka youtube para kataw-an sa kadaghanan. sige lang, naay daghang mas qualified pa aning Janina nga taga istorya, tan-awon tani ug madala ba ni sila bisan sa audition o screening na lang.
