Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 now available

i kinda like ie8 beta now... specially the developers tool panel. pretty handy.

on the other hand, i am starting to hate ff coz it started crashing on me. most of the time ff crashes if you have the "web developer" extensions (firebug and stuff like that). ff has problems with handling memory. unless you have to tweak it again ffs. but still i'm using ff as default browser.

So far my experience with FF browser + the developer extensions has been great! really helped me a lot.. not much of a headache.. Thanks for IE for the challenges too!! :mrgreen:

I've tried IE8 beta and I was really amazed on its great improvement, they really did put attention to the developers side.. Good thing since developers are also users and most likely developers are the first users ;-p Right now they're making things better and somewhat they're making use of the ease of use for both kind of users and to the community. :mrgreen:

There was this complex web standard issue before which is the "Web Standard" and the "IE Standard", which really confused a lot of developers since they want to have a site which is a site compliant.. Unless they are a non-Standard aware developers who would just take things as it is, well they should have been educated!

8 days after the failed ACID2 Face Test Safari 3, FF 3 beta and Opera 9 passed the test just as IE8 beta... So all would have been working well except for the dates of their releases..

Is agent work less important than developers? You seem to imply that they are lesser than design/development work. Their work is decent and challenging in their own respect. Im a designer myself btw.

I agree and also IE8s gonna have the advantage knowing they own 80% (i duno if ds s correct ) of the browser population...

No its not correct. IE6 penetration rates are at 30% and IE7 around 22% (more or less +-) FF currently holds 36%(+-). Its a mistake to assume that IE8 will take all of the previous IE rates, itll will probably be a long time for IE8 to be mainstream as IE7 aint even there yet. FF wont just be sitting down too, FF3 is already in beta 3. Im all up for them competing as it only gives the community better browsers.

being me and the rest of us here as colboys doesn't make me/us less of a man than you. u seem to be s0o proud na "developer" ka. how do u define developer btw? does me being a call center agent who gets contracted by 2 companies to develop their website gets the job done on my spare time, gets paid and me at the same time having fun count as one? or does it still fall as a "wanna-be developers" the way you define it? if i'm with the latter, so i can just be just what i am doing right now ayt - call center agent?

on topic: sa mga nka try na og IE8, unsa man changes compared sa previous version sa IE inyo nabantayan? would u recommend it?
