@crashburn: Asus is the best, intel is the bomb? --
When we used to be AMD fan boys hahahaha
@petJDM: I think what he meant is the way the distro handles their RMA's. Yes naa gyud RMA tanan, thats what warranty is for, but its the turnover time pag ma guba that kinda takes awhile. Kasuway sad ko before, RMA within the same year,it took a couple of months
Unlike my experience with Gigabyte Distro, in a weeks time a new replacement came in.
As for me, no question, asus has great boards, im using the P5B deluxe lang gihapon. But I dont think gigabyte papaldi pud, like I said earlier, these are the two giants competing in taiwan karun, with MSI slightly trailing behind them.
Basic needs, they are all the same. No gains in performance for ordinary use.
Overclocking, there are so many factors involved that its really hard to pin point if its the board or the the proc, mem, PSU, Cooling etc.. And with the way procs are designed nowadays, almost any board can OC them
Skillz nalang gyud hahahaha.
It all boils down to personal preference and (bragging rights??)
Kung bling gyud, I love DFI
My DFI lanparty Nf4 SLI-DR rocks with all the bling. UV reactive slots, cables, cable wraps, lanparty bag, frontpanelX etc.. Overclocked my Athlon 3200+ to 3.5ghz with that board. Fried my mems after two years though hahahahaha.
