imho, its enough to just buy 2 plastic/rubber casters or "feet" (the ones you put on the legs of tables/chairs so they won't slide) and stick them to the bottom of your laptop such that the part below the lcd hinges is elevated a little. what makes the laptop hot is that heat from the underside cannot escape. although the final result is that the upper side is still warm, its relatively cooler than when the base is resting fully flat on the table/desk.
