Also saw a Xeon at PC Quick Buys. Wala lang ko nangutana pila price kay basin ma kuyapan ko.

Anyways, Xeons are still for servers right? or is it better than the Core 2 Duo and thus considered an option for the consumer market?

Basically the same as Q6600 but with 8x multis same core Kentsfield. Plus Xeon class is more stable since its for servers and has a higher standards in testing.
a lot of people are using it with their P35 Mobos.

Just to clear up the misconception on the Xeon LG775

The X3210 is NOT the Q6600 counter part, its the X3220.
    [ Reference: X3220 Q6600 ] <<< Clickable

Both processor are equally stable provided they are with in its specific operating range, the main difference between them is the Xeon chips are "cherry picked" from the silicon wafer and tested to operate at higher temps, as seen on the reference above the Q6600 is rated to 71c while the X3220 is at 85c, technically the Q6600 can and will also operate at 85c but intel does not guarantee anything outside 71c, the next difference is the absolute safe voltage range, the xeon chips are rated at 1.375 ( 0.025v above intels "Safe" voltage ) while the Q6600 is rated at 1.500v ( 0.125v higher than the Xeon )
As for overclocking % its still a luck of the draw, you can either get a crappy xeon chip or something that goes beyond godlike.

Feel free to correct my post provided credible sources are provided.

Based on PCX's March 04,2008 pricing the X3210 is at 9,620 while the phenom is at 13,830
