the us dollar is in all time low.
the us economy is in deep pile of shit.

maybe thats why the dollar still continue to decline againts the peso.

hows the political climate in the philippines.

i remeber during the peoples power 2 when erap was ousted the peso was at all time low of P55
    to $1

whats your assestment of the philippine political climate.

Do you think this will have an effect on the valuation of the peso?

w/ regards to the effects of our political climate to the peso, WALA so far (thank God)...this just shows how our economic fundamentals are getting stronger and "firewalled" against any political noise.

Local market analysts are betting that the interfaith rally scheduled for late Friday, and the ongoing political unease from allegations of high-level corruption in public procurement will have little effect on stock prices and the economy as a whole..

A reminder: The "strength" of the peso hasn't shielded the RP from higher prices at the gas pumps. It's way over $4 dollars US per gallon and climbing. The title "Strongest Currency in Asia" is somewhat misleading because it is neither long-term nor stable. Try to sell a peso outside of the Philippines and you won't get any feeling that it it is "strong". If the OFW remittances decrease or become taxed by the US, the currencyy here will be in serious trouble. And when we speak of the weakened state of the US economy and dollar, remember that those Filipinos living and working in the US are feeling the crunch and may not be able to continue sending as much to their families. The US economy will in time recover, the dollar will strengthen, and the 40 pesos per dollar rate will become a fond memory.

if the us economy is not f--- or broken.
i can picture the dollar appreciating in times of bad political climate in the phil.

so pag gobot mo diha mga power grabbers.
the peso is not gonna come down as the us economy is headed downwards.

    yap,

the people that are making money are the people who wear turbans.
they are making so much money from the high prices in gas.

there are a lot of factors why the gas prices are high.
first you got fires in US and in england in theie gasoline depots or refineries(whatever).
then you got those african nations are having a civil war that canl affect gas production.
then you got those arabs who are pumping whatever they like. hehe.
Result crude oil per barrel at all time high at $103.

I hope the price comes down this week.
