You're right. He continues to engage in an obvious logical error. It is known as an Argument from Ignorance (argumentum ad ignorantiam)

Take note that he said quite clearly:

This is a clear example of such a fallacy. The fallacy is defined below.
    Definition:

"Arguments of this form assume that since something has not been proven false, it is therefore true..."
Take note that there's no difference as to whether it is a so-called "public domain" assertion or not. That is just yet another flimsy excuse for his bad reasoning. Just more smoke and mirrors. It doesn't work. We can see thru it.

That's what I've been trying to tell you. Therefore, the point you raised is irrelevant.

Tough luck, dude. Looks like you not only can provide a convincing response to my original assertion (that Jesus would probably be left scratching his head upon seeing the outfits of todays Pope and cardinals), but you seem to be in denial about the conflict-of-interest I point out on the origins of the authority of the Catholic Church to speak for Jesus Christ.

Instead you come up with what is really the only flimsy line of reasoning around here -- that a set of assertions that you cannot even debunk point-by-point does not hold water.

Kawawa naman tayong mga Katoliko. All we are left with are a bunch of old-school zealots to defend our religion. No wonder it is going down the tubes. If people like you represent the best minds our faith has to offer to inquisitive mines like that of cute little moi then it's no wonder we are turning into a real a voodoo nation.

The truth is in our minds, dude. Too bad yours is imprisoned by your books and Googled text.

And you are too adult. So much so that you're mind's already been shoe-horned into a narrow band of thinking. Step back and take stock of the forest, old timer.

Remember the story of the Emperor's New Clothes?

    Go figure.

Well, what is morally right obviously prevails over effectiveness. The Church could never be and ought never be open to birth control, which really means "Less birth and no control", or is it "No birth and no control" nowadays?
