i actually manage to test out these two fine models...although they are very early prototypes...

The dual-slide N96 has the potential to become Nokia’s flagship handset with its 5MP camera, 16GB of internal memory and a memory card slot expandable up to 24gb.
It’ll be available in august 2008 with the following specs.

wow, how much kaya ang initial release sa n96...

stil, we wont be able to appreciate much if we cant install apps now that we cant sign apps.
we now have to really shell out more cash to buy symbian apps.

not much point give a review on the units i tested coz they were early prototypes...
but i can point out some info/pics not yet posted in any other site...

the N96 is actually same dimension as the n95 but looks bulkier because of the design (i think its the curves)
and the bigger screen. softkeys are same as the n81 which im not so fond of as well as the keypads itself. i prefer the n95.
maybe its just needs getting used to and the fact that again this is a very early prototype.
new vertical active icons layout is a fresh take on it thanks to its enormous 2.8" screen.
i notice two small led light for the camera. no flashlight funtion available yet...its reserved for the upcoming nokia 1209.
what turned me off was the camera lens protruding outward (making the rest of the phone slimmer than n95) and no lens cover
when watching digital tv the stereo speakers are located on the top left and right side and a stand for better viewing.

the N78 is smaller slimmer version of N77 minus the digital tv with a lot of added features. keys are actually better than n82 despite its also petite size. this is the 1st s60 3rd edition FP2 phone.
despite what other sites are posting, they keys are not touch sensitive...they are actual keys.
what i actually like bout this phone is that it has a build in FM transmitter allowing streaming of music from the phone to your car system and its auto detect from what can tell.
