5 - 0 is the real score and that alone will tell. pero hinuon kung mapildi pasanginlan mn gyud dayon ang teamates. sauna ra mn ni nga rason ni kobe.
    22 vs 29
How could you tell who's better between Kobe and LeBron if we base it between the Lakers and Cavaliers standing when LeBron obviously has the better teammates. Try to get back on me after the Lakers-Cavaliers match now that the Lakers have Pau Gasol.

you said it ur self that the cavs are on the east while lakers are on the west so when they meet cavs should be a no problem for the lakers.
and the east are the weakling..

The Cavaliers have a better record because they belong to the East, which is obviously has lesser powerhouse teams compared to the West. Yes, the East are the weakling as a whole and that's why Cleveland was able to dominate it.

Can you please quote where I said that the Lakers are much superior than the Cavaliers just because they belong to the West?

And LeBron and the Cavaliers belong to the East. Even without Pau Gasol, the Lakers is a very capable team if they're in the East even though they only have Lamar Odom, Chris Mihm, Smush Parker, Sasha Vujacic, and even Kwame Brown to back up Kobe Bryant in the previous 2 seasons.

Look at the picture as a whole, not just their stats individually.

LeBron will have his time soon, but for now, it's all Kobe.

Stats wise..Kobe gyapun...the argument of achivements at a young age are relatively irrelevant given the circumstances. Lebron has a luxury of a lot of playing time during the 1st few years thus he can pad statistics plus he was playing in the East.

Lebron was already "hyped" to be that good of course he gets a lot of playing time not to mention he doesn't have anyone in the Cavs at that time to really compete for his slot. During the first two years ni Lebron, he averaged at least 39.5 mins sa 1st season and 42.4 minutes per game on the second season. While Kobe on the other hand had to settle for 15 mins per game sa 1st season and 26 mins why....at that time naa si Eddie Jones and naa Nick Van Exel. If you include those sa career averages of course mu ubos. Alangan man sad if you are Del harris you put in a rookie out of high school when you have two all star caliber guards already. Mamba had some hype but his games in Lower Merion were not nationally televised compared to Lebron's St Vincents and St Mary's so of course Lebron gets all the hooplah thus the superstar status when he gets in the league. And because he gets to play more, the more his game can develop and the more stats and more achievements you can pile up. But....then again 4th year to almost having a ring isn't the same as 4th year with a ring.

Something is wrong here. Saying that Cleveland made it to the finals first (not counting Shaq's time with the Lakers) makes LeBron better than Kobe is out of context.

    Here's two points to ponder:

1.) The Cavaliers belong to the East which is obviously the weaker conference.
2.) Setting aside Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, the Cavaliers obviously has the better players.

Compare the quality of oppositions in the playoffs.

Cavaliers vs Wizards (minus Gilbert Arenas, definitely a walk in the park)
Cavaliers vs Nets (doesn't have a better big man)
Cavaliers vs Pistons (I'll give this one to the Cavs but the Pistons are weary coming into this series against the Chicago Bulls)

Lakers vs Suns (no need to elaborate on this one, Steve Nash alone will justify)

The Lakers were able to stretch the series to it's max and almost got past it and that's against a team who's got the NBA's best player in it, twice. And who was responsible for such? All-Kobe.

LeBron makes his teammates better and his stats show it but LeBron already had better quality teammates than Kobe Bryant. Lamar Odom, Smush Parker, Chris Mihm, and the rest are nowhere close to Zydrunas Ilguaskas, Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Donyell Marshall, and even Anderson Varejao. Now if LeBron is with the Lakers, can he make Brown, Parker, Mihm and the rest of the Lakers better and turn the team into a perennial winner? We don't know but I doubt it. He gets good stats because his teammates are way better and they win a lot because of the level of competition in the East. He might get big numbers and help from Lamar Odom but that's all, Odom was killing the Lakers before with his inconsistency. How many times did the Cavaliers face the Pistons, Heat, and the Raptors in the previous seasons? Not even beyond 20 games for the whole season and for the rest of it they're dealing with weaker Eastern Conference teams. They only play Western Conference teams for about 30 games per season. That's one of the reasons why dominate the East.

    Compare the level of competition:

East: Detroit, Miami (before Wade's injury), and Toronto.
West: San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas, Denver, Houston (if both T-Mac and Yao are healthy), and Utah.

LeBron is a great player but has yet to be proven. Being swept by the Spurs is in contrast to the claims that he's "The King" and the Cavaliers being the best. It also justifies how tough Kobe's situation is in the West dealing with superpower teams. Blame it on James' inexperience? Then he doesn't deserve to be called the best yet.
