for me, im bias... CEBU jud ko maski i compare siya ug MANILA or DAVAO...(i happen to visit the place mentioned due to the nature of my work)... i spent almost two months in Davao and 6months in MANILA...

lahi-lahi man gud atong preferences.... basta for me, cebu has a lot to offer.... dili kaayo layo ug adtoan nga mga spots...ma beach, ma mountain, ma falls, ma malls...klase-klaseng gigs...

CEBU was a recepient on AWARDS from international institutions as to its unparalleled attractions to tourist to wit:

    Asiamoney
    Business Traveller
    Conde Nast
    HotelClub.com
    Smart Travel Asia
    Time Magazine
    Travel Weekly
    Zagat World's Top Hotels, Resorts

IMHO, why do i settle anything less? nga im in most favorite place of tourist to visit with?....

i say it again, im bias on this thread... basta CEBU for me is beyond compare... peace...

i was born and raised in davao.

i think every city or town is charming.

it's actually safer than living in los angeles (my current home).

here are my favorites everytime i go home to davao:

if you have money to spend:

    FOOD
    buffet at marco polo hotel.
    lunch at nanay bebeng's.
thai restaurant in sm matina has the best halo-halo
panga @ kamayan ni mang tura
    jack's ridge

    PLACES TO PARTY
    Matina Town Square
    Bodyshop
    The Venue - For concerts

    PLACES TO PLAY
    Pearl Farm Beach Resort
    Malagos Garden Resort
    Eden Nature Park

    THINGS TO DO
    Eat
    Party
    Drink
Climb mountain (Mt. Apo), although I haven't tried.
    Play golf
Surf (late August only, at Davao Gulf)

Davao, although a city, has a small town feel. People are friendly, accepting, non-judgmental. You can walk inside the most expensive hotels inshorts and slippers and you'll still be treated like royalty. Being a mixture of Filipinos from all over the archipelago, it has a very relaxed, laid-back, unpretentious atmosphere (the only true Davaoenos are the natives who are still in touch with their indigenous culture- T'boli, Bilaan, Tagacaolo, Mandaya). My parents are originally from the North.

Have fun! By the way, I've only been to Cebu for 30 minutes while waiting for our Supercat to leave for Bohol. Please give me recommendations of the best places to eat, sleep, party, drink, experience, and enjoy in your city!
