    Making a Network Connection

    1. Make sure that your PSP's WLAN switch is on and then turn on your PSP

    2. Go all the way to the right on the horizontal menu where you will find a button called 'Internet Browser'.

    3. Click on that and a new screen should appear saying 'Select Connection.' then below it '[New Connection]'.

    4. Click '[New Connection]' and then press 'Scan' to scan for a network connection or press 'Enter Manually' to enter your IP Address etc. in manually. I recommend pressing 'Scan'.

    5. When you press 'Scan', a screen should come up saying a SSID name, security type and signal strength.

    6. Click on your computer's network connection (pick the one with the highest signal strength) to continue.

    7. If the scan came up with no results then you may be too far away from your computer (you can be at least 100 feet away from the network connection until the signal dies). Try again or try connecting to a different computer.

    8. When you click on your network connection, make sure it is the right name and press the right directional button.

    9. When this screen pops up, you might have to type in a password to enter your computer's network connection unless the option 'None' is picked when the screen comes up. If you don't know the password to the network connection, ask the owner of the computer to tell you.

    10. Then press the right directional button again and click 'Easy'.

    11. Make a name for the connection (this name will be on the network connection selection for your PSP's Internet browser) or just leave it as it is.

    12. Press the right directional button once again and make sure all the information is correct. If it is press the right directional button one last time.

    13. Press X if you have the right information and it will save.

    14. You now are back on the 'Select Connection' screen. Now you can click the network connection you just made.

    15. It should connect to your computer and go onto the Internet. If it doesn't then try to make a new network connection or restart your computer.

    Using the PSP Internet Browser

When you get into the Internet there will be a gray browser bar type thing with a bunch of buttons. To get to this browser bar press triangle if you aren't already on it. But what do these buttons mean? Read on to figure out what each one does!

Top Address Bar - this is where you type in the website address you would like to visit.

File Button - this button allows you to enter a website address a second way, open a link in a different tab (put your cursor over the link and press this), save a link's target, saves images to your PSP, gives the current page's information, displays the current page's certificate, closes the current page, and closes the Internet browser.

Arrow Buttons - the two arrow buttons on the gray browser bar will let you go back to the previous page you were at or go foward (if you went to your previous page then wanted to go back).

Refresh Button - refreshes the current page.

Home Button - allows you to go to your Homepage. To make a website your homepage, go to 'Tools' (on the gray browser bar), 'Settings', then 'Home Page Settings', and finally type in the website you want to be your homepage.

Bookmarks Button - allows you to easiely access some of your favorite websites. Almost like your 'Favorites' on your computer.

History Button - shows you all the websites you have visited. Clicking this then triangle gives you the option of deleting your history.

View Button - changes the text size, encoding, and display mode of your Internet Browser.

Tools Button - allows you to look at your Internet settings, delete cookies, delete cache, delete authentication information, delete history and display your connection status.

Help Button - tells you what the PSP Buttons do when you are on the Internet.

    PSP Buttons

L + R Buttons - same as the arrow buttons on the gray browser bar.

Directional Pad Buttons - moves you to the nearest link, picture etc. in the direction you push.

Analog - moves the cursor around.

X - opens any links, pictures etc.

Square - allows you to move around the page you are at. Hold square and move the analog around to move around.

Circle - gives you the option of exiting out of the Internet Browser.

Triangle - displays the gray browser bar.

Home/Select - allows you to look at the PSP's main menus while staying on the Internet.
