The Spurs probably sensed something is not going right for them, especially after the Pau Gasol, Shaquille O'Neal, and Jason Kidd trades. They made some minor moves of their own to make their line-up a lot deeper.

First was signing point guard Damon Stoudamire, and lately, sending guard Brent Barry and center Francisco Elson to Seattle for Kurt Thomas. Though such trades are not as big, it will definitely make some noise in the West.

But the Spurs better pile up titles fast, they're not getting any younger.

Hmmm... always thought Elson is the weakest link sa ila. But yeah he did have his moments, though rarely.

wow... if the spurs are not consistent then what team is? correct me if i'm wrong but the spurs have not missed the playoffs since timmy came. they have made it through the 2nd round except for the year timmy got injured and had surgery. They have won 4 titles in the past 9 years with 3 different teams(only duncan was part of the 4 championship teams). They are one of the most successful franchises in the past 10 years.

If ur not satisfied they havent lost in a finals series. They were a freak 0.4 second shot from derek fisher away from advancing in 2004. They were one ginobili foul from advancing to the 2006 finals. I agree with one poster. lingin ang bola. u get it to bounce your way, sometimes it doesn't. but that doesn't mean they are not consistent.
