Now that they are big, I feed them every other day. I feed them veggies 2x or 3x per week and fish food (for protein) once or twice a week depending on the schedule. I place them in a tank which is actually a plastic container drum cut vertically. The tank got a log for basking and their basking place is hit by sunlight... so I don't need to worry about UV. I'll be posting my pics soon.

Your setup is even cooler than mine because you spent so much for your setup. Yours is more artistic than my setup... akong setup baratu kay pwede ra nako mapa gawas sa balay... pretty soon you will be needing a bigger tank for your grown up turtles.

yea. i was really planning to spend really big kai manghambug ko sa akong mga bisita sa balai. so i have to make it as presentable as possible. maybe when they get really big, i'd do your setup and take in a cooter or another RES or a YBS, if i find one, and put it in the glass tank...

ill be getting a tank tomorrow for my 2 sliders. ill post pics as soon as it is set. hehehe... excited kaayo ko.

and one thing, naa ba way na makanice sa color sa ilang shells? like food perhaps?

since they're still a few months old, naka random ilang pagkaon, praffy I, P and S. sometimes naa feeder fishes.

it is really amusing to see them follow you basta mo agi ka. mura ug kaila nimo kay kng laing tawo, motago man.

haha... post nya bai hah... pila ka gallon imong tank? and about the shells. i dunno. there's this dried shrimp food na pampa-enhance daw ug color, pero i doubt it. they say dried krill, fish, and shrimps are only treats that should be given once or twice a month kai mura daw na'g junk foods. personally i think ang UVB nga light gikan sa sun or some other artificial nga suga maoi makapanindut sa color sa RES...

i-post nya ang pix sa imong tank bai hah...
