Who uses tampons here?

Naa lang ko question... Do they really expire?

I heard some have expiration dates on them...(Eeeekk!!) I checked the boxes that I got.. They don't have dates. I regularly use Tampax Pearl for over 7 years na.

Ummm they keep for a long time i think..long shelf life. Not sure how long.

hEALTH CONSCIOUS:

tampons are one of the cause of toxic shock syndrome...when you used it from side A to side B..hehe...cause it doesn't have presence of oxygen...their are some obligate anaerobe microorganism ( bacteria ) that will produce toxin..and this toxin is the toxic shock syndrome toxin...
but, im not saying that if u'll used tampoons u'll be infected...

just change it time to time ...and proper hygiene...

i am well aware of changing tampons every 4-8 hours besides, been using it for like 7 years already.. without any side effects or whatsoever.. my only concern is the expiration dates... all my boxes don't have them.

any other ideas?

well theyre made of cotton aren't they? just like regular pads so they shouldn't expire. but if they get wet or dusty before use then that's when theyre no good anymore.

tss can be serious but its rare. just look out for symptoms like headaches, dizziness, vomiting....

i have a box of tampax and IT HAS expiration date. do you remember when you bought yours? tampons have fairly long shelf life, about 4-5 yrs.
