At least Shaq can put up a decent challenge against other team's big men. Phoenix no longer need the vintage Shaq who can light up the scoreboards every night, they need him against Tim Duncan, Yao Ming, Pau Gasol, and the other reliable big men in the West as well in the East. It will relieve Amare Stoudemire much defensive work.
The dilemma, they lost a very versatile player in Shawn Marion.
I'm still in doubt if Marion will be effective in Miami as he is with Phoenix. He needs someone like Steve Nash who'll feed him most of the time.
Anyway, I'd like to think that Phoenix just wants to win an NBA title before Steve Nash goes way, way beyond his prime.
