RAM set-up need advice

good day mga peepz.

I have a 4 memory slot mobo, ask ta ko if unsa deperensiya in terms of
performance, temp., voltage supply,timing, compatibility, frequency, etc...

2 x 2 gb using two slot in dual channel set up OR
4 x 1 gb using four slot also in dual channel set up

plan man gud ko to upgrade my ddr2 667 to 800, i dispose nako
akong 2 gb na 667 unya buy ko either 4x1gb hinay hinay or 2x2gb
bahalag sakit sa bulsa basta worth lang pud ang deperensiya..

it depends unsa imo processor/mobo. Intel & AMD have different memory management schemes. Personally i'm using 2x2gb Mushkin EP Rams on an AMD based sys.My reasons are: first, 4x1gb generates more heat bec. there are simply more mem chips.second, 2x2gb consumes less power on the ram bus bec. on the new chip architecture although 2x2gb are quite picky when overclocking.3rd, more room for upgrade on a 4-mem slot setup and finally higher resale value when its time to upgrade.hope this helps...

Use 2x2gb chips, that would require lesser overall voltage in both MCH and vDDR. overclocking isnt much of an issue compared to having 4 sticks

sir sayang lagi wa pa kaabot akong budget, mga early next month pa..

i dispose pa pud nako akong 667 para puno2..huwat2 nalang ko

basin pud diay naa mga Crucial Ballistix na moabot diri kanang bubarato like sa tpc.

actually bro kang Lunch ang pinaka barato... cheaper than in tpc plus you don't have to worry about shipping etc. & Lunch is a very approachable person.

using ballistix & no prob running 1260 Mhz at 2.15v :mrgreen:
