    @ajol

    Bro, what's the difference between an ABA number and a routing number? I looked up MBTC's routing number and that's what came up. Well, at least that's what it calls the number. In reference to how routing numbers came to exist:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Routing_transit_number

    This code is also used by the Automated Clearing House to process direct deposits and other automated transfers. The routing number is derived from the bank's transit number originated by the American Bankers Association, which designed it in 1910.
    I don't know if there are banks that have several routing numbers and such, so I'm pretty curious about that.

    My bank's MBTC. When I asked about the routing number, the lady looked at me and was like, it's simple, just use the SWIFT Code. I had to troll the internet for it. She just said," it goes through the NY branch and then they'll send it to your account.

    Needless to say, she was really clueless even if I insisted that the bank has to have a routing number.
