I love the way she puts you where the story takes place. everything is vividly described.

the first time i ever read an anne rice, i seriously wondered about two things:
    1. about the existence of vampires in our world;and
    2. whether miss rice herself is a vampire.

such is the effect of her writing. naa rako observation, in reading Interview With the Vampire, sa erotica-tasting prose niya: either homo or pedophilia.
    haha. just a weird observation.
love Interview (not the movie..it was boring)
Rameses (or was it Ramses?) and The Vampire Lestat.

have anybody ever read richard bach's Jonathan Livingston Seagull? I read that shortly before Interview and it seemed that the two books were the antithesis of each other. The lingering mind picture of the other is light, while the other is of unending, mysterious darkness.

the story of The Mummy (Ramses The Damned) could've been good. but how it was written wasn't as alluring as the vampire chronicles and the mayfair witches. the girl Julie in the story wasn't as desirable as Rowan or Mona in the Mayfair witches. something is incredibly lacking in this book. it didn't feel as if it was Anne Rice who wrote it. in the book Lasher, u'll notice how Mona's craving for Michael makes u think that the whole thing is natural, even if it was far from it. with Julie and Ramses, the passion thingie was not convincing. this was the worst book i've ever read of Anne Rice. no offense to those who liked it.

    i have
    interview with the vampire
    the vampire lestat
    tale of the body thief
memnoch the devil (few more pages to go)
blackwood farm (still to be openned)
    vittorio the vampire

i liked the interview with the vampire better.

i've never really read any of her erotic series but i've seen escape to paradise with the curvaceous dana delany and paul mercutio and loved the film...

that movie was full of crap.

it just didn't get the feel of the book - its texture, environment, atmosphere, etc.

... although i love aliyaah in that film. thought she was sensual and darkly sexy...
