Default Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

I first discovered Narnia through the animated movie of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Then I discovered the books and later on the Voyage of the Dawnthreader TV miniseries.

Can't wait to watch the new movie.

The late, great C.S. Lewis, my friend, was not an atheist but an agnostic. He did not remain an agnostic though but converted to Christianity, inspired by the late professor J.R.R. Tolkien. Tolkien's only frustration was that Lewis did not become a Catholic (although some say he had a deathbed conversion to Catholicism). Have you seen the trailer of "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"? If not, watch it on Quicktime here and hear Aslan roar: http://www.apple.com/trailers/disney...of_narnia.html . Enjoy!

You think Walt Disney is that careless, LOL! They want to dethrone LOTR and I think they can--especially with all seven movies for all seven books in the TCON series.

But you know what really hurts me so much, I, as what we experience with LOTR trilogy, believe we will not be joining the worldwide simultaneous screening of TCON:TLTWATW BECAUSE OF THE MANILA FILMFEST. This film will have to be screened regularly as early as January or as late as February 2006.

    Peace, bring it on, Baby.

Interesting to note that despite it's being produced by Disney (which only came in later in production to help "foot the bill"), the original effects company that was working on the movie is the same one that made the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Peter Jackson's WETA Workshop.

But it's been said that they only did the initial character designs which was then taken over by Rhythm & Hues. Not quite sure how true that is though.

I love the story. Read this way back in High school. After I read the first book, I was hooked! Kinda like reading the Harry Potter series of today. There's always that love for fantasy within us.

For those who have read the entire series of 7 books (is there such a term as a "Heptalogy" as in "Heptagon"), I assume you are aware that C.S. Lewis had them published not in the chronological order of the thread of the "heptalogy" (there, now I've used it). Does it bother you that Walt Disney adapted the books into film and released them in the same order of their publication dates and not in that chronological order as I've described above?

P.S. To be honest, I haven't read any of the books of the "heptalogy" but I've read a lot of material about the "heptalogy" more voluminous than the total volume of the entire "heptalogy" itself.
