Oh, well, people just don't get it. If you want to be a prostitute, you can choose, believe it or not, to be abused by your employer or your customers! Legalizing it would simply mean better protection for the *** workers, from human trafficking, abuse, drug addiction, sexually-transmitted diseases, and others; similar to the benefits regular employees of any public or private institution would receive. Prostitutes can organize unions and all to better protect themselves, but that is another story.

Keeping it illegal is nothing more than a religious and moral issue, since the almighty Catholic Church and other Bible-thumpers (and others who wish to impose their moral standards over others), have unnecessary influence over Philippine politics.

Mas maayo man gyud dili i legalize, human trafficking is a problem kung pugson ang tao, esp minors but what if ang tao ang ganahan? dili ba na problema sad?
For sure age requirement will be among the top concerns if prostitution will be legalized. This is one rampant problem we have right now and it won't be overlooked, this will be regulated and will be under strict rules.

you have a point there. all prostitutes are not the result of human trafficking. sometimes they became prostitutes due to poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, (now get this!!!) LIBIDO, or LIFESTYLE, without being trafficked...

and one way to protect non-trafficked prostitutes is to legalize them. but as i've mentioned earlier, most prostitutes are being trafficked, ug lisod pud ni ma-legalize sa pinas...

ang human trafficking man ang maoy problema nato sa nasod karon ky mo-lead ni sa children and women abuse.

With 80M++ people, it would rather be inappropriate to blame the government solely (as what we are used to do). People, or should I pinpoint Pinoys, procreate as if there's no tomorrow. And who's got more children? It's those people under the poverty line. We don't need education to realize this, it's plain common sense and that's what most Pinoys lack. True that it's the government's responsibility to give job opportunities, but what people want is for the job to go to them, not them going out and looking for a job. Other than that, how could the government accommodate all 80M Pinoys?

Prostitution will always be there no matter where we go because *** is one of the top wants of people, specifically males. Giving out decent jobs won't eradicate prostitution because it will always be "on demand", especially for those can't find or are having very hard times getting free ones.

Then the bounderies of this thread must be clearly stated ky there is a confusion if this is addressed to *** workers or people who want to avail of prostitutes or human trafficking or others.

for me the topic is very general, so posts must be generalized sad.
