Is anyone into film photography?

I'm just starting to get into it after months of procrastination. My dad gave me his Canon EOS 88/3000(kung pang-international hahaha) and last Christmas I finally bought a roll of Kodak 400 and some batteries. The thing is, I'm kind of confused about how the thing works. Or I think I'm more confused about the technicalities like aperture size and shutter speed and how the flash works and stuff like that. I took some pictures this morning, though. I'm not really good with self-teaching and I was thinking that maybe it would help if I had someone to converse with about this hobby. I'm just really a beginner with film photography.
