u mean the .net framework? i havent seen the requirements yet but it would be very nice if it can run even on computers not running vista

(i cant see the point of developing both in the future) then this will be the only ym messenger to use.

good thing been using plain and simple pidgin ...same with vern..I primarily used it for communication and nothing much

... I use now google talk. Plain, simple, lightweight and WORKS.

Have tried it for a couple of days and I missed some "old" YM features which is not present (yet) on the vista version, so I switched back.

I can't minimize to system tray
can't customize the sounds
noticeably slower

i now use Yahoo Messenger 9.0 BETA (for Vista as well as XP) as i had to fix issues with YM8 crashing my browser whenever i video stream. A little fresh look and so far so good.
