and I didn't mention how much money pours in every year to the department being the most well-budgeted agency in the country. for this year alone, the deped is anticipated to eat the biggest chunk of the national budget to the tune of P1.23 Trillion!

and what have we got?

- underpaid teachers (usahay delayed pa ang sweldo). and you know what, more than 60% of public school teachers are heavily in debt.

- lack of textbooks/school supplies to public school children. and guess what, many of our textbooks are poorly written or some of them contain wrong information. and the supplies, by the time reach half the school year, more than half of children in public schools already run out of supplies by then.
