Just a reminder who want's to upgrade to 3.80m33-2, if your using plugins, I don't recommend upgrading yet coz this things will not work at the moment 'till the new update comes in. Plugin's such as ScreenShot, CWcheat, etc.

Following the anticipated release of PSP custom firmware 3.80 M33 and the rather quick bug fix update, M33 have released a 1.50 Addon for FAT PSPs running 3.80 M33 only.

This release does not come with any instructions, but thanks to MrTuto_Alek we have instructions on how to install this 1.50 Addon for you:

Update: Thanks to everyone who commented and told us the instructions were wrong. They have now been updated with working instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    Quote:
Instructions.- Copy the files in the release to a directory called anything BUT UPDATE
    - Move the directory you created to /PSP/GAME/.
    - Get sony 1.50 update and copy it to the root with name “150.PBP”
    - Run the program and done.

As we reported earlier, 3.80 M33 includes a new feature to update the firmware directly via Network Update however this will not work for this 1.50 Addon as it is an optional addon (and only for FAT PSPs).

Finally, please note that 3.80 M33 must be installed before installing this addon. You can check out our 3.80 M33 install guide for detailed setup and installation instructions.

Confirmed: Sony's firmware v3.80 tinkering messes with certain PSP memory sticks

PSP savvy jas0nuk has confirmed that Sony's heavily optimized fatsmod.prx memory stick driver has lead to 2 problems - poor read and write speeds for certain memory sticks and totally broken saved data and game menus for certain memory sticks. He has devised a list of memory sticks which are either not working, slow or working normally. Four memory sticks are listed as not working while over 12 are working slower than usual.
    here are the list:
    Not working
    Sony 4GB
    Sandisk 4GB Gaming
    Sandisk 1GB Gaming
Lexar 4GB (works on homebrew but not ISOs)
    Sony 1GB

    Slow but working
    Sony 4GB
    Sony 4GB
    Sandisk unknown size
    Sandisk 4GB Ultra II
    Sandisk 4GB
    Sandisk 4GB Gaming
    Sandisk 4GB Ultra II
Sandisk 4GB (no slowdown with M33 driver)
Sandisk 4GB (no slowdown with M33 driver)
    Sony 8GB
    Sandisk 4GB Gaming
Sony 4GB (no slowdown with M33 driver)

    Working

    Sony 2GB MSX-M2GS
    Sony 2GB HighSpeed (fake)

    Sandisk 4GB Ultra II
    Sony 8GB MSX-M8GS
    Sony 1GB
    Sony 2GB
Sandisk 2GB M2 (in an MS adapter)
Sony 1GB - "only one comment: I used this card as a Magic Memory Stick to write 3.71 M33-2 with DCv3 to my PSP slim. After that, I tried one ISO game, Silent Hill Origins. It was choppy. Then I installed 3.80 M33, then 3.80 M33-2. I reformatted my card with windows, as FAT32. Then with PSP, and 3.80 M33-2 formatted to FAT instead of FAT32. Now it's not choppy. Works fine."
    Sony 4GB
    Sony 1GB
    Sandisk 2GB
    Sony 4GB
    Sandisk 4GB Gaming
    Sandisk 2GB Gaming
Sandisk 4GB Gaming (formatted as FAT32)
    Sandisk 4GB (formatted as FAT32)
    Sony 1GB (fake)
    Sandisk 512MB
    Sony 2GB (fake)
    Sandisk 4GB
    Lexar 1GB Platinum II
    Sony 4GB
    Sony 8GB
    Sony 32MB
    Sandisk 4GB
    Lexar 4GB
    Sandisk 4GB
    Sony 4GB (fake)
    Sandisk 512MB
    Sony 1GB
    Sony 1GB
Sandisk 2GB Ultra II (reformatted under 3.80)
Sandisk 4GB Gaming (formatted as FAT32)

this is the test of people who encounter problems on 3.80 m33, if your running 3.80 m33. try to observe it. so, we can find solutions on it....
