I dunno dude. While I'm against prostitution per se, I'm pretty agnostic when it comes to legalizing it. Heck, I'm pretty agnostic when it comes to legalizing marijuana. We may make laws all we want, but it still doesn't fix the root cause of why people are doing this. People will still continue to condone drugs and prostitution despite stringent laws. On the other hand, legalizing an inherently wrong act just because the government can't control it is stupid.

As for ***, I can always get one in a committed and monogamous relationship, thank you. No need for buying it.

Simple reason for legalizing prostitution because in anyways it cannot be stopped? Maybe thres a reason also to legalize illegal drugs, killings, rapes and other crimes?hehe just joking.

it would be prudent to know also what are the types of prostitution coz the term is somewhat too broad:

    (1) The most common form is in night clubs.

now these are already common & regulated...no nudity, no ***. but hey, naa gihapon uy

    (2) private houses or casa. Prostitutes work in this type of prostitution (private houses are brothels where prostitutes are directly introduced to the clients in a separate room, there is no bar and the client is not confronted with other clients).

    (3) window prostitution

    wala pa ta ani.

    (4) escort services

mahalon. daghan na ta ani. artista pa usahay...

    (5) street prostitution

daghan pud ta ani and this is the bulk of our existing prostitution problems.

    (6) others in their own homes, massage parlours, sexshops, *** theaters and bars.

rarely...but apil na cguro dire ang cybersex

Maybe you have noticed that tourism has increased in our country, and the DOT even projected more tourist arrivals thus helping the local and national economy (all hands to Ace D). This is something good.

However, there will be a downside - industries that complement tourism will also experience a boom, such as hotels/restaurants, airlines/transport, souvenirs, many more, and finally --- well, prostitution.

Don't get me wrong, im not pro-prostitution.
It's just that, we can't have the best of both worlds.

Haha ... I just find it funny when people are more inclined on :

    - What if my female relatives will also embarce it if broke .
    - I can get free poontang anytime I want so I dont need prostitutes .

People .... the legalization I am talking about is more on for the existing people in the trade and for the fast growing population also of commercial *** workers . Heck unsay labot sa legalizqation kung broke ang mga parente ninyo unya kay legal na man they can sell their asses . Even if dili siya legal , if ang inyuhang mga lola ug tiya na senior citizens , they want to sell their asses mapa broke sila or *** trip lang kay mahal na ang palitunon sa merkado , its their call . Prostitution in most cases caters those people who are discreet , foreigners , travelling people etc . Its not for those people who think they are the MAN and they dont need no poontang that is for sale . Heck I got a hooker myself in SIngapore and I never paid a cent ( di lang sa panghambug ) , just gave her my command ballcap of boat , so maka ingon ta ug samot na ug dili to burikat ? My point is , dili na mao ang issue abvout LEGALIZATION if ever matuman man gani .

    Bro Springfield

Kabaw ko wala ka nanghambog, but grabe imong powers... liman ka libre  dakoa siguro nimog ngisi ato nga time dah and to think that Singapore has one of the most conservative and tightest laws when it comes to the topic.
When i was there a few years back, ni reklamo gani to mga college students ky ang Species 1-3 gi ban daw sa ilaha ky too much skin, even ilang fhm mags, ga sinina...

ok here's my opinion on the topic para dili ko ma OT:

I am against the legalization of prostitution wether those in the trade or not.

First of all it is degrading for women. Those in the trade should know better... They need to wake up that women are not toys. as one friend told me, women are not trash bins for sperm.
When a guy acquires the services of a prosti, it's not love he's after but just to get laid. lust ra puro.

second is it brings in a lot of abuses from foreign visitors. sila nasad mga puti mag hari diri, murag mga korek. Bad image for Cebu/Philippines.

third is manggawas ang mga sakit. musaka nasad ang cases sa STD, AIDS and uban pa.

Pero on a sidenote, gamay na baya daw og halin ang mga prosti karon, that's because daghan na kayo mga women na game ra. uso na kayo ang one night only. Ka dungog namo ana mga istoryans?

^^^dugay naman na nauso ang one night...actually degradation issue is luma na kaayo na..dugay ra na degrade ang filipina women tatak as "*** machine"...and about health cases, if prostitution be legalized, wouldn't there be more health awareness? like pro condom, etc?
i'm not saying favor or not to this...but the thing is is..lisud kaayo ni wagtangon ang prostitution..

No, there would not be more health awareness if prostitution is legalized. Health awareness (sexual health and family planning, since we're discussing prostitution here) can only be promoted if children will have proper sexual education at an early age.

*** education is not part of our public school curriculum because the Roman Catholic church opposes this, and the government is afraid that they will lose precious votes if they go against the church.

NEVER!!!!!! I would never want the Philippines to become the 2ND THAILAND!!!
Our women are already belittled by Saudi Arabians (the rape of overseas maids) and even Americans (in form of made to order brides) samutun pajud kung i legalize ang prostitution

mga Kristiyano man kaha ta? Does God want us to legalize prostitution? God condemns harlots and fornication (premarital ***) ! !!! kadaku og sayup kanang tao na mag PMS kay wala na siya kaila sa Ginoo!

NEVER WOULD THE PHILIPPINES BECOME A CESSPOOL O FILTH!!!! I WOULD NEVER ALLOW SUCH MORAL DEGRADATION FALL ON MY BELOVED PHILIPPINES!!!

I ALSO WANT PORNOGRAPHY TO BE BANNED HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES!!! I WANT IT TO BE CENSORED SO THAT MY CHILDREN WILL NOT BE EXPOSED TO SUCH DISGUSTING AND VILE IMAGES THAT CAN ONLY CONFUSE THE MINDS OF YOUNG FILIPINOS ESPECIALLY YOUNG MEN!!!!

NO TO PORN NO TO PROSTITUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
