    Default Disable Right-Click on Desktop Icon


    A noob question mga bro, can someone tell me if the right-clicking of an icon on the desktop can be disabled? If so, how? I'd really appreciate any feedback. thnx mga bro..

    Next time, you should try Google bro.


    Open the registry and navigate to either:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersionPolicies\ Explorer] which disables right click for only the current user or

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsCurre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer] which disables the right click for all users.

    Now either modify or create a new DWORD value named NoViewContextMenu and set the value data to 1. Exit and restart.

    bro im using winboost the problem is dili nko ka right on desktop.. akong gusto is sa mga icon ra nga dili ka maka right click..

    i think imo gi lock ang folder nya d ka ganahan mausab ang security ops noh

    kun imo ganahan modisable sa certain shell extensions sa context menu try this:

    akong gi hide ang drive C & D bro.. para dili mahilabtan akong mga files but maka access gihapon ka kong mo right click ka sa icon sa desktop then properties - fine target - so ma access gihapon ang C or D, akong gusto is ma disable ang right click sa mga icon or ma disable ang fine target.. thnx kayo sa reply bro.. naa pay lain nimo ana?

    If your purpose is simply to disallow access to certain directories, then you need to use NTFS so that you can restrict the folders to certain users only.

    i personally use this since my younger days... naa sad ni user stats (imo ma track kung unsa gipambuhat sa mga nagamit sa computer)

    this is a very powerful program, be responsible...

    kung XP imo OS bro ky maghimo ka og separate user account like mo create ka sa imo unya administrator mode ka while ang usa ky maghimo ka nga lain user pra dli cya mo sulod sa imo user account unya sulod ka sa safemode pra machange nmu ang folder security unya imo i-remove ang mga disignated user nga dli nmu pa-accesson sa imo folder unya restart then that it secured na
