Konica-minolta maxumm was once sold in an airsoft forum
at 16K that was 6.1 MP.

But still its rare compared to competetors.
The A100 is starting to pop up in 2nd hand shops in Japan now.
I saw 1 priced at 60K yen. great deal but unfortunate, I already got the Nikon and Four-thirds

Nikon uses the same sensor on Sony so it has to be good.
A700 is similar to D300 and A100 to D40X

@Kmdr Kabog - I agree with you, I tell you its only SONY PH making things worst for us...
mentioning - over priced + not much marketing (just playing with the SONY wagon)
but now I boycott SONY PH ~ I'm getting my stuff overseas.
** to mention we got the old Konica Minolta MaXXum lenses which we still can use and results are far more better than the sony IQ.

@homey ~ mentioning the price of the a200 is far more cheaper than the initial a100 launching.

we got our legendary "beercan" Minolta 70-210 F4 which cost 300-400$ on eBay not much thinking and very affordable with the superb IQ and BOKEH.

I see one post here a canon user having difficulties choosing from 70-200 f4L IS or 70-200 f2.8 non IS
to mention there are 4 choices
- 70-200 f4L IS
- 70-200 f4L
- 70-200 f2.8 IS
- 70-200 f2.8

not all our lenses are expensive.

Anyways sirs the DSLR market is a fraction of Sony's commitment.
I still kept my old Cybershot DSC-P50 and lovin it.

Tamron is offering mounts for Minolta and Sony.
When these comes out in the 2nd hand market, maybe I'll give it a second
thought.

yup, good choice in DSLR bro, but i think its better to stick in to one brand for now, like nikon,sony, canon, pentax or olympus
did u know most of NGO photographers are now shifting to Olympus or nikon thier abandoning thier canon kits cuz olympus and nikon lenses are more sharper plus more underwater accessory than canon, one of them is Paul Nicklen

@Kmdr Kabog - Sony doing a big leap into the DSLR wagon they need to make the industry more stronger and competitive by offering affordable prices.
i believe they just getting their money back when they bought Minolta --

SAL70200 ~ Php 150,000 SONY PH ~ while in HK can get it 16,000 HKD (Php 83,000) diff ~ Php 67,000

Only in the Philippines SONY is not doing good.
Malaysia SONY is rocking also in Singapore and the rest of SE Asia and primarily in Japan.

I hope somebody from SONY PH check this thread.
- intensify after sales service
- lower prices and follow SONY US
- do more marketing
- stock unit and accessory on all SONY SQUARE stores (i'v enough hearing the word ORDER BASIS)
- treasure customer with great appreciation
