Have you tried switching back to the old BIOS version? Basically, if the previous BIOS version was working fine, upgrading it won't be of much benefit, IMO. Have you also noticed a performance hit with the new BIOS? Try running CPU-Z or some CPU identification tool; they could give different results.

    to all:

i've tried switching back my bios from latest back to 1009 and it can read 1300mhz in the post.

my mobo is not defective and i've test it with other Athlon proc.

i've done testing the CPU external frequency kay 100/33 to 103/33. it result to 1329mhz which is overclocked. its ok for now. i've emailed to asus about this problem. thanks for all your support. its all about the bios.

    Default motherboard or proc problem?

i advise you to keep your bios version at ver. 1014.001 which is the latest.

u may not notice a significant performance gain, but at least the latest bios version already has the previous bugs in older versions fixed, and it would improve the stability of ur system and compatibility with add-on hardware.

1329mhz proc speed should not be a cause of concern, as it is only about 2% overclocked.

    Default motherboard or proc problem?

I emailed asus about this and they reply and advise me to download again the latest bios version. I updated my bios now at 1004.001. My problem is fix. Post displays 1300mhz for my proc. I overclocked it to 1500mhz and it still stable.

thanks to all istoryans more power.
