Just to prove how we are manipulated.

Look at the price of diesel and gasoline in mandaue Canduman.

    They are cheaper.

    WHY

Because there is a new gas station in the name of PTT . PTT is not colluding with the BIg 3. PTT's diesel and gasoline is cheaper.... the Petron, Shell and Caltex are FORCED to LOWER their PRICE....
I'm beginning to be convinced that you're mostly right.

This can only be seen in Canduman Mandaue where there is PTT.

If there is no PTT station. The price is higher.

Three oil firms impose 6-day price rollback as 'gift'
    12/26/2007 | 02:24 PM

(Updated 3:20 p.m.) A major oil firm and two other small oil firms on Wednesday announced they are rolling back prices of gasoline and diesel as a New Year's gift to consumers.

Petron Corp., and independent oil player Eastern Petroleum said they are cutting back the prices of its diesel and kerosene by 50 centavos per liter, and gasoline by P1 per liter starting 2 p.m.

Earlier in the day, radio dzBB reported that Unioil had also imposed a 50-centavo per liter rollback for diesel and a P1 per liter reduction in gasoline prices also starting 2 p.m.

But this respite may be short-lived. According to Fernando Martinez, Eastern Petroleum chairman, said the reduction will only last until December 31 because it’s a “special discounts" they are giving to their customers.

Other oil firms have yet to announce similar price movements.

In an earlier interview with Shell country manager Ed Chua, he said oil firms are no longer expecting any price adjustment by year end, although he said "everything depends on market forces."

In fact, with the firm's under-recovery, consumers should expect another round of increase in diesel prices ranging from 50 centavos to P1 per liter.

On the other hand, Chua said they expect prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to drop. “For the LPG, the price is going down so domestic price of LPG can be rolled back," Chua said. - GMANews.TV
    Kaning Rollback ba....

I have only seen 1 (one) PETRON station doing it.

Its in Lapu-Lapu near MEPZ 2

but you can see a PTT gas station across it with a lower price also....

I think most of the Petron stations rolledback not only in Lapu2 area. Down south, prices were also adjusted.

the rollback for diesel should be 38.76 (50 cents reduction)

gasoline should be 44.xx (1 peso reduction)

Yes plus government should take seriously alternative fuels/energy -- dunno if we ever embarked on alternative fuel exploration.
